Joan Coletto, Hypnotherapist and Spiritual Practitioner

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life so we can get to know you better.

My name is Joan Coletto. I am known as the Heart Shift Master because as someone who has experienced the liberation of shedding limiting beliefs, I am now passionate about supporting others in doing the same. Growing up, I was the one friends would turn to for advice the one who really listened and could see the bigger picture. But when it came to my own life, I was often stuck in self-doubt, struggling with low confidence and feeling like I just wasn’t good enough. Things really shifted for me after my first marriage ended in divorce. That ending sparked my spiritual journey, leading me to finally discover who I am at my core. Now, I’m here to support others on their own path to self-discovery and freedom.

What led you to combine hypnotherapy with spiritual practices to create your Heart Shift method?

My training as a spiritual practitioner gave me the tools to help people uncover and release limiting and false beliefs, allowing them to embrace more joyful and fulfilling lives. When I was introduced to hypnotherapy, it was like a laser pointing directly to the limiting belief. I saw it as a powerful way to accelerate the transformative process my clients were already experiencing. Direct access to the subconscious mind where all change occurs, combined with spiritual practices such as meditation and visualization empowered my clients to create lasting transformation.

How did your personal challenges influence your journey toward becoming a spiritual practitioner and hypnotherapist?

My journey through infertility and miscarriages led me to a place of profound despair. During those challenging years, I turned to meditation, visualization, and other spiritual practices, which gradually instilled a renewed sense of hope and optimism within me. Today, I am blessed with two healthy, happy adult children. This experience taught me that how we approach life's challenges profoundly influences the outcomes we experience. Spirituality became my guide, helping me stay hopeful and see things from a new perspective.

Can you share an example of how the Heart Shift method has transformed a client’s life?

Yes!

David (not his real name) was struggling in his relationship with his girlfriend, who he felt was critical and dishonest and often blamed him during conflicts. Each argument left him feeling worthless and fearful of being alone. While in trance (hypnosis), we traced these feelings back to his childhood and his relationship with his alcoholic mother. He realized the same patterns of unpredictability, dishonesty, and self-blame were present then, shaping his current struggles. Over the course of several sessions, he was able to communicate with his childhood self and shift into knowing that his mother's behavior had nothing to do with him. By connecting deeply in this way with the added support of meditation and visualization, his belief shifted, and he knew these issues were not his fault. This awareness empowered him to end the unhealthy relationship with his girlfriend and, for the first time, feel content and open to a relationship based on mutual respect and trust.

What can readers expect from your upcoming book, Heart Shift, and what inspired you to write it?

My inspiration for writing Heart Shift is to reach a larger audience and offer hope to those seeking healing. In the book, I explain the Heart Shift method, share the spiritual practices I use, and recount stories of clients who have experienced profound changes through this method. I also wanted to provide readers with practical support, so the book includes access to an online portal filled with guided meditations, hypnosis processes, worksheets, and more. My goal is to offer readers tangible tools to support them on their journey toward transformation.

How will your new membership community support individuals on their healing journeys?

We heal in community and my membership community will be a dedicated space for that healing and transformation. In a supportive group setting, we find strength by sharing the journey with others, feeling held and encouraged. I will offer live group coaching sessions and mini-classes, all of which will be recorded so members can access them at their convenience. Members will also receive discounts on individual sessions. My vision is to create a vibrant, engaged community where each person feels supported on their path to healing.
