When Dr. Charles Bailey Phillips talks about his career, he always starts with family. Growing up in Macon, Georgia, he felt a strong pull to serve his community. After graduating from Life College in 1997, he began his career at Brandt Chiropractic in Macon. Those first few years shaped his approach. “I learned quickly that every patient is different,” he recalls. “You can’t offer cookie-cutter care. People need treatment plans that fit their lives.”

Starting Phillips Chiropractic in Macon
By 2002, Dr. Phillips was ready to strike out on his own. On March 1 of that year, he opened Phillips Chiropractic. He named the practice after his family, honoring their deep ties to Macon and Middle Georgia. “My roots here are strong,” he says. “I wanted a clinic that would reflect both my values and the needs of the community.”
Starting a business was not easy. Macon already had established providers, and building trust took time. But Dr. Phillips kept his focus on personal care. “It wasn’t about being the biggest,” he explains. “It was about being the clinic people knew they could count on when they were hurting.”
A focus on chronic pain and injuries
Over the years, Dr. Phillips developed a reputation for treating patients suffering from chronic pain and injuries. He sees many people who come in after automobile accidents, sports injuries, or with ongoing joint and nerve pain. “Pain changes lives,” he says. “Our job is to help patients take their lives back, step by step.”
Neuropathy care has also become a key part of his work. Treating nerve-related pain requires patience and close follow-up. “With neuropathy, the journey is long,” he explains. “But seeing patients regain mobility and confidence is worth every challenge.”
Patient trust and community recognition
One sign of success has been the feedback from patients. Phillips Chiropractic has over 100 Google reviews, with 98 of them being 5-star. People often mention both the quality of treatment and the compassion of the staff. Dr. Phillips points to this as his proudest achievement. “Those reviews tell me we’re making a difference,” he says. “It’s not just about outcomes. It’s about how people feel when they walk through our door.”
That patient-first approach has built loyalty in Macon and beyond. Many families have stayed with his practice for years, often referring friends and relatives. “Word of mouth is powerful,” he reflects. “It comes from trust, and trust is something you earn every single day.”
Giving back to Middle Georgia
Dr. Phillips is not only a chiropractor but also a supporter of his community. He provides free care for military veterans through Wounded Warriors who cannot afford treatment. His clinic also connects with faith-based ministries to extend services to those in need. “I believe in service,” he says. “If someone is struggling and we can help, that is what we are here to do.”
This commitment to giving back has made his clinic more than just a medical office. It has become a part of the fabric of Middle Georgia. “Community isn’t something you talk about,” Dr. Phillips adds. “It’s something you live.”
Leadership through compassion and professionalism
What sets Phillips Chiropractic apart is not technology or flashy marketing but the team’s attitude. Dr. Phillips leads with compassion and professionalism, values that guide his entire staff. “Every person who works here knows the mission,” he says. “We are here to relieve pain, support recovery, and improve lives.”
Colleagues often point to his leadership style as calm and steady. He avoids shortcuts and emphasizes quality of care. This has made him a trusted name not just among patients but also within the local medical community.
Looking ahead
More than two decades after opening his clinic, Dr. Phillips continues to approach each day with the same drive. “People often ask me why I still love this work,” he says. “The answer is simple. I get to see lives change. I get to see people walk in with pain and leave with hope.”
As Macon grows, the demand for quality chiropractic care will grow with it. Dr. Phillips remains focused on his guiding principles: service, compassion, and excellence. “Chiropractic is not just about the spine,” he concludes. “It’s about the whole person. It’s about giving them the chance to live without pain.”
