There’s a space between who you are and who you’re meant to be, that space is your invitation. Here we are, with the microscope on your life. I know that can feel daunting, and yet, this moment is yours to have. This is your opportunity to express your personal power, to remember that you deserve you. You get to fight for you. You get to create for you. You get to choose you. Choosing yourself means honoring yourself, creating the life you desire and living it by your own design. And that begins here, by facing yourself. So, let’s look.

Defining the gap

What are we looking at? The Gap. Your gap. That space between your current reality and your desired one. What’s in it? We’ll see.

Let’s dig in, shall we?

In broad strokes, because this is an article, not a 12-year memoir of awakening, we’ll explore key pillars of life that support reflection and awareness. When you cultivate both, you create abundance and opportunity. That’s the beauty of choosing yourself.

The power of reflection

Ideally, you have a clear image of who you are today, especially if you’ve taken on the prompts from our earlier articles. Those exercises guided you toward awareness of your current situation, how you feel about it, how you perceive your past and present, what you want, and where you’re going.

If you aren’t there yet, that’s okay. Take a breath. Let’s reflect together. Are you balanced? Centered? Experiencing homeostasis? What’s your perspective of your past? How does it feel to look back? What comes up in that reflection?

What’s your take on your current situation? Are you fulfilled, satisfied, joyful, empowered? Wherever you are right now, that’s perfect. You’re right on time.

Assessing your life’s pillars

Now that we’ve looked in the mirror, let’s give what you see a framework. We’ll explore some broad-stroke life pillars, categories that reveal your current position and the opportunities that await your growth and evolution. Feels bittersweet, doesn’t it? Awareness always does. Let’s begin.

Relationships

Start here. All relationships are vital, and this is where truth lives. I invite you to slow your roll and get intimate with this one.

  • Your relationship with yourself: On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being fully actualized, fulfilled, aligned, joyful, and empowered, where are you?

  • Your relationship with others (family, friends, partner, etc.): On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being deep trust, love, intimacy, connection, and reciprocity, where are you?

  • Your relationship with money: On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being abundant, prosperous, and at ease with money flowing to and through you, where are you?

Career

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being fully aligned, fulfilled, and well-compensated for doing what you love, where are you?

Health

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being devoted to caring for your body, mind, and spirit as your sacred machine, where are you?

(Just to name a few.)

When you rate each pillar honestly, you’ll see where you stand. Which means, you’ll also see where you’re ready to go. That, my friend, is your gap.

Closing the distance

Once you know your gap, you hold the power to bridge it. This is where transformation begins, with clarity, courage, and conscious choice.

In the next article, I’ll share powerful opportunities and pathways to help you bridge the gap, so you can step fully into the life you’re meant to live.

If you feel the stirring to go further, to bridge your gap and unveil the greatness that’s been waiting for you, I would be honored to walk beside you.
