Playing with the idea of trying different strategies in areas of life, such as relationships and career, can provide valuable insights and new perspectives. It’s about daring to look beyond your usual frameworks and allowing yourself to experiment with new ideas, behaviors, and approaches. Such exploration can not only open up new opportunities but also boost your confidence and deepen your understanding of what works best for you.

Strategies in relationships

Relationships are a central part of life, and by testing different strategies, you can find ways to build stronger and more rewarding connections with others. How can you consider these?

  • Communication:

What do you need to explore to use "I" messages?

What happens when you start exploring different ways to express your thoughts and feelings?

  • Empathy:

How can you try putting yourself in the other person’s shoes and seeing the world from their perspective? Could this lead to deeper understanding and fewer conflicts?

  • Time Together:

How can you experiment with investing more time in being with loved ones, both in everyday life and other contexts?

  • Boundaries:

Explore how you can set clear boundaries to protect your own energy and well-being while respecting others' needs.

Strategies in career

Career is an area where small changes can have a significant impact on both success and satisfaction. How can you consider these?

  • Coaching:

How could a coach provide support for the steps you need to take to reach your goals?

  • Networking:

Who has already made the journey you are now embarking on?

How can you build your network and listen to others’ experiences by participating in professional events, group activities, or simply staying in touch with former colleagues and friends?

  • Trying New Roles:

What if you explore the possibility of taking on new responsibilities or roles within your current workplace to develop new skills?

    How can you approach this?

  • Feedback:

How can feedback from colleagues help identify areas for improvement?

What is the simplest strategy to begin with?

For both relationships and career, the simplest strategy to start with is exploring small changes in your communication. Communication is the foundation for both strong relationships and success in the workplace. By trying to speak with greater clarity, listen attentively, or express appreciation, you can quickly notice differences in your interactions with others.

Starting with small changes is both less intimidating and more manageable. You don’t need to reshape your entire life at once; instead, take one step at a time, evaluate the results, and adjust your strategy to what works satisfactorily for you.

Feel free to try new strategies!
