Jasmin Dennis, Wellness Strategist, Leadership Development Coach, and Certified Herbalist
How do you measure results like absenteeism and engagement gains?
I have learned over the years that measurement is essential to demonstrate that initiatives for wellness are not just a feel-good perk, but a driver of business results. We track absenteeism by examining sick days, turnover patterns, and health-related leaves of absence before and after the introduction of wellness programs. On the engagement side, we utilize employee surveys, participation rates, and feedback from managers about changes in morale, collaboration, and energy levels at work.
With three decades of experience in health and wellness, I have come to realize that users’ feedback only tells part of the story. The fundamental transformation becomes evident when leaders notice their teams are more present, motivated, and connected. I have collaborated with an organization where absenteeism dropped significantly, by 20% over three months, after the implementation of a health and wellness program. Managers also reported higher morale and stronger collaboration during this time. Additionally, we helped organizations understand the financial benefits of reduced healthcare costs, lower turnover, and productivity gains, which, when combined, improve overall profitability. When a comprehensive wellness program is designed and implemented effectively, its impact can be measured both in terms of its outcomes and in the workplace culture.
What is your process from first call to rollout in plain steps?
My process is straightforward and designed to meet organizations where they are at their current stage of development. It begins with an initial consultation to understand the company’s unique challenges and goals. From there, I conduct a wellness assessment to uncover hidden stressors, cultural gaps, and employee needs. Next, I designed a customized wellness strategy that includes leadership training, holistic programs, and the Burnout Pie Framework to target stress and burnout. Once approved, we move into implementation. I work closely with leadership teams to roll out initiatives in phases that are both practical and sustainable. Finally, I provided ongoing support and evaluation to measure impact, refine the approach, and ensure long-term success.
What problem do you solve for employers, in one sentence?
I help employers reduce burnout and healthcare costs while boosting engagement, retention, and overall workplace performance.
What makes your approach different from typical wellness perks?
Many wellness programs tend to focus on surface-level benefits such as gym membership or occasional wellness days. Still, they often fail to address the root causes of stress and burnout. My approach goes deeper by creating comprehensive, holistic programs that combine leadership development, organizational culture, and natural healing practices. Using tools like the Burnout Pie Framework, I help individuals and organizations identify hidden stressors and implement strategies that foster lasting change. This transforms wellness from merely a perk into a cultural priority that enhances both performance and well-being.
