Bradford's Patrick Dowling Launches Speaker Business Built on Lived Experience
Bradford, N.H. – Patrick Dowling has spent five years standing in front of police officers and first responders, teaching them how to meet people in mental health crisis with skill and humanity. Now he's bringing that same honest conversation to a wider stage with the launch of Patrick Dowling Speaker LLC.

Dowling's work starts from lived experience – a journey through psychosis, depression, mania, and addiction that, through recovery, became a calling to change the very systems he once moved through. As a speaker in Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training programs, he has spent half a decade training law enforcement and first responders in de-escalation and crisis response.
His keynote, "Choose Love," carries that message to founders, teams, and leaders: resilience isn't abstract, and mental health isn't someone else's problem.
"People in crisis aren't case studies to me. I've been the person in crisis," said Dowling. "I've also trained the officers who show up. I live in both of those worlds, and I think that's exactly why this conversation matters."
Beyond the stage, Dowling contributes to mental health policy initiatives in the New Hampshire State Senate and advocates for suicide prevention and the 988 Lifeline. He writes for The Bradford Bridge and holds an Integrated Behavioral Health Certificate from the University of New Hampshire.
In May 2026, he performed his story on the Bank of New Hampshire Stage in Concord as part of NAMI New Hampshire's This Is My Brave. His honors include the 2019 Erik Cogswell Memorial Award and the 2020 NAMI National Young Leader Award.
Patrick Dowling Speaker LLC offers keynotes and speaking engagements for organizations, conferences, and teams looking for a real conversation about mental health, resilience, and what it takes to show up for each other.
