As some of you may know, I am a psychic medium. I predicted both of Donald Trump’s presidential wins, even long before he was considered a serious candidate. I also foresaw COVID and, as a result, turned down a major job role because I saw it coming. Why take the job if you know you’re about to be let go anyway? But hear me out, this isn’t the time or place to reel off my achievements or predictions. This is the time and place to share one crucial prediction we all need to pay attention to, and it’s urgent.

Artists are the only way we can navigate back home, home to ourselves. Consider the polarized existence we live in today: on one hand, we’re human beings with work and bills, and on the other, we can turn into online personas, airbrushed and flawless, pretending to be someone we’re not. So, which ultimately wins? Will our future be AI? Will we all live in tiny, solar-paneled homes with flipable interiors instead of traditional roofs? Is the future a dystopian dream? Well, it can be, if we abandon ourselves, if we truly hand over our hope, humanity, and grace. Those subterranean, often subconscious characteristics are the baseline of who we are as a species. Are we going to forsake them to "upgrade" into some metamorphosized version of our desires?

I believe that if we do not come home to ourselves, truly learn to love who we are, complexities and shadow-selves included, we risk abandoning our humanity. We’ll chase the promise of being “greater” in our own image, following the ego into a hole we may never escape. In doing so, we’ll forsake our humanity to become hybrids of performance and futuristic promises. But there’s a problem. We will still have bodies, desires, and an aching need to come home to ourselves. The result? Deeper depression, more sedentary lifestyles, and a fantasy existence devoid of real fulfillment. It will be a life driven by self-induced spikes of sugar and junk. Sound familiar? We’re already seeing it.

The only people who can bring us to our knees and show us who we truly are aren’t animals, look how we’re treating them already. It’s not nature either, we’re still not listening. It will be artists. Actors, producers, directors, craftsmen, and craftswomen, they are the most important people right now. Through their craft and intelligence, they can show us who we are. They can teach us how to feel safe and vulnerable, vulnerable and safe, and, most importantly, how to rediscover our humanity.

Without actors and artists, there is no humanity.

If we consider the law of attraction, we are constantly told to create vision boards. But how do we design a concept we do not know? How can we even begin to comprehend a better life when our own lives have been so far removed from it? We can’t! So, we lean on films, books, and crafts to get a taste of it. Actors and craftspeople literally allow us to manifest and aspire for more. They are also the first to show us consequences and history; they bring everything to life. We must support the artists. They are the most powerful people on this earth, and it is they who will save us from the temptation of self-abandonment.

The industry cannot survive without an audience, so please get out there and buy tickets. Support the artist, and you will have supported your future self.
