Have you been thinking about adding events or retreats to your business model? If so, we highly recommend it. In fact, we might be so bold to say that NOT adding in-person events to your business could be one of the biggest mistakes you make as an entrepreneur.

We are living in a world where people are feeling overwhelmed and exhausted looking at screens all day long. They are tired of endless bots spamming their inbox promising an unbelievable result overnight solely by hopping on a “discovery call”. The reality here is that almost every market to speak of has become oversaturated, creating a “survival of the fittest” sales mentality. The quick-fix bro-marketing tactics promise an immediate return on investment with little to no execution, leaving customers feeling hopeless and lied to. Your industry does not need another quick marketing tactic to only validate the level of betrayal your customers have felt through past spam experiences. What they really need is an experience where they can learn to trust you. Many of your customers are craving real human connection. They want to be in your energy, feel you, and receive the wisdom you have to share.

As Tom Ford says, “The most important things in life are the connections you make with others.”

This is the power of creating experiences in your business. They are a MUST if you desire trust, real connections, and loyal customers. Whether you are a product or service-based business, people become loyal to you not only because of the product you have but because of who you be and how you make them feel. Yes, the skin cream or nutrition shake might get them results, but their relationship and experience with you will have them telling all their friends about it. When your audience truly understands you, your story, and the unique mission you have they will follow you for life because you have created an emotional connection with them.

When you host live events, people get to experience your essence. They see you as a human and not a bot. Through these events you begin to create memories and experiences together.

Events have been the core of our business because we focus on creating genuine connections. We care about the people in the room and we will do whatever it takes to see them, learn about them, and support them where they are at. Accomplishing this is extremely difficult with zoom-only experiences.

We see our audience as heartbeats NOT numbers which is why "bro-marketing" never worked for us. We could never buy into the sales tactics that attempt to "hook" new followers. Instead, we do whatever it takes to connect deeply.

And this is how we have been able to create six-figure events and retreats in our businesses. Yes, you can make six figures in one event with the right intention, strategy, and application. And, it doesn’t have to be complicated. We have been able to create six-figure events with as little as 15 people and as many as 100+. Most people tend to get confused when launching events because they only look at front-end strategies. This means they look at ticket sales for the event as their only source of revenue. In contrast, we look at the back-end monetization strategy of the event. Crafting clear heart-centered offers that will support the attendees, once they leave the door, is how we massively scaled our events and retreats.

So if you too are excited to launch your heart-centered event, here are some simple steps to begin the process of creating your next experience:

  1. Identify the theme for the event. What will you do? How will you make it fun? Why would others want to attend?

  2. Who will be attending? (get specific about your ideal attendee/dream customer)

  3. Select at least one joint venture partner (another person in business to partner up as a guest or contributor who shares the same values and ideal customer). When they promote the event this will get you in front of new aligned people.

  4. Select a date and venue

  5. Invite your joint venture partner(s) to join and begin to share the event

  6. Have a blast, offer incredible value, and keep it simple!

These very simple action steps will create momentum to kickstart your event launch. Of course, there is a lot of planning and preparation that involves an unforgettable experience, so we encourage you to take it one step at a time.
