In her role as the CEO of Trauma Informed Institute, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, Vernisha spearheads the organization's mission to certify leaders, managers, and team members as trauma-informed professionals. Under her leadership, over 20,000 professionals have been trained globally and also successfully managed and secured more than $20 million in funding across diverse sectors, underscoring the substantial impact on reducing harm within workplaces and communities.
In 2022, Vernisha expanded her commitment to holistic wellness with the inception of DanceHerSize, an innovative program tailored for women and girls. This initiative seamlessly integrates the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, dance, and interactive learning, empowering communities across North Carolina and emphasizing the significance of health and wellness in personal and professional spheres.
