
Vanessa Power
Therapist
Vanessa received her Master's in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She served in the United States Air Force from 2009-2015. There, she polished her leadership skills and provided exemplary care to patients domestically and abroad. After many years in the behavioral field, she went back to school to earn a Doctorate of Psychology from California Southern University. She finished her doctorate during Covid and with a new baby in tow!
Her work history includes: inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient therapy centers, mental health consultant roles, program director, clinical trainer, adjunct professor, clinical supervisor, private practice business owner, and now a Brainz Magazine contributor! She loves being a therapist and cares deeply about her clients. Trained in numerous clinical treatment modalities, she strives to provide up-to-date care, while utilizing authenticity, curiouslity, compassion, and humor during her sessions. Her biggest achievement to date is her precocious, eight-year-old son Dean, who is the brightest light in her life.
