Thomas Patrick McNulty
CEO of Success Stories, Inc.
Tom McNulty, M.S. is an entrepreneur by design and practice. He often jokes, "I'm tortured by a creative mind." He takes on tough issues and business challenges, creating solution-based options to foster long-term change. He established Success Stories, Inc. as a healthcare consulting firm after an 11-year period as VP of Marketing plus VP of Addiction Medicine at a New York psychiatric hospital. It was then that he met an actor, writer, producer, and fellow entrepreneur, Peter and they created The Episodes Project-a behavioral health, three-component initiative to address the failures and disconnections too many people face when seeking behavioral support. Based on Peter's development of "interactive learning" through "interactive theater," they created HHPartners to bring healthcare hospitality into organizations to address their ever-changing "pain points" through hospitality without more work for healthcare staff.
Tom has always been curious about opportunities outside of healthcare, too. He was a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for eight years (unpaid) where he went through the same training as full-time officers. He was a Masters level adjunct professor at D'Youville University and Hilbert College. He was a writer for Business First for 10 years and wrote about behavioral health in the workplace. For 18 years, Tom hosted a weekly health talk radio program and recorded more than 800+ shows. He moved to podcasting in 2023 with "MindSet with Tom McNulty, M.S." on all the major streaming services. Tom is an award-winning photographer and has sold many pieces over the years. He became a dual citizen of the USA and Ireland in 2025. For five years, Tom was a substitute teacher at the catholic school his three children attended. He said it kept him clued in to what's on the minds of school-age children and their teachers. In. 2005, Tom started a not-for-profit, Spotlight on Hope, Inc. (501 (c) (3)), to blend all elements of the creative arts of theater, photography, film, word, art, dance, music, and more to advance health, medical, and behavioral health information.
Tom was the "first ever" teen-age (age 15) cruise director on Holland America Line's Nieuw Amsterdam. As his father and mother were in the travel industry, Tom went on to sail on 35 luxury liner cruise ships.
Today, Tom is working on several independent films: Captions, The Freshman, and Tommy's Tale, a film about growing up in Brooklyn and Queens Village. He lives in Orchard Park, New York, with his wife, Nancy. Go Bills!
