Coming from a family of engineers in Pune, India, Tabish Shaikh has spent over a decade transforming complex architectural visions into structural realities. With a career spanning three countries and some of the Middle East’s most iconic landmarks, he has evolved from a hands-on engineer to a visionary tech entrepreneur.
 
Foundations & Early Career
Tabish’s professional journey began with a rigorous academic foundation, earning his Civil Engineering degree with honors in 2012, followed by a Post-Graduation in Construction Management in 2015. Even before graduating, he was gaining practical experience on the ground, contributing to critical infrastructure projects involving water dams for a local firm in India.
 
Iconic Project Portfolio
In 2012, Tabish moved to the UAE, beginning a trajectory of high-stakes project delivery:
Aviation: Played a key role in the Dubai International Airport Expansion.
Retail & Landmarks: Managed construction and finishing for Doha Festival City in Qatar (2014) and the massive Dubai Hills Mall.
Global Events: Contributed to the award-winning Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2020, a project defined by its record-breaking scale and design.
Leadership & Innovation
By 2019, Tabish transitioned into a Site Manager role, overseeing commercial fit-outs across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. In 2022, he took on the role of Project Manager, specializing in high-end luxury villa renovations.
 
The Birth of Nexus Built
Drawing from years of navigating industry bottlenecks, Tabish founded Nexus Built. While the concept sparked in 2022 and took shape through 2024, it was in 2025 that he launched the platform to solve the fragmentation and lack of trust in the construction sector.
Today, Nexus Built is a one-stop digital construction marketplace built on the core philosophy of transparency. By streamlining the connection between clients and contractors, Tabish is modernizing how the world builds. In 2026, the company’s impact was recognized globally when it was selected to showcase at Web Summit Qatar.
