Paula Miles
BACP-Registered Psychotherapist
Paula Miles is a psychotherapist and BACP-licensed therapist who works with people facing anxiety, stress, and emotional burnout. Her approach is shaped not only by her training, but also by the years she spent in high-pressure corporate roles, environments where she carried heavy responsibilities and constant expectations. As a result, being the “strong one” became part of her identity. Paula managed people, handled demanding workloads, and, like many high-performing professionals, often felt she had to keep everything together, even when her inner world was beginning to fray.
During those years, she noticed a pattern that would later define her therapeutic work: competent, dedicated people carrying more than anyone realised, delivering results on the outside while feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. The culture around her rewarded perfectionism and resilience, but left little room for rest, boundaries, or emotional honesty. Paula eventually reached a point where she could no longer ignore the toll this way of living was taking. What began as personal burnout became a turning point that led her to therapy, self-reflection, and ultimately a new professional path.
Retraining as a psychotherapist allowed her to understand, with greater clarity, the emotional weight so many people carry in silence. Over the years, she has supported clients from more than eight countries, helping them make sense of their anxiety, inner pressure, and need to “hold everything together” at all costs. Paula’s humanistic approach sees each person as a whole, with their relationships, work life, emotions, and personal history all deeply interconnected. Her therapeutic space is warm, grounded, and deeply attentive, offering clients the chance to slow down, understand themselves with compassion, and rebuild a life that feels more sustainable and true.
Today, Paula’s mission is to offer the kind of support she once needed herself, a space where people can soften, breathe, and finally stop carrying their struggles alone.
