Michael Wish

Student Coach

Michael Wish is an educator, entrepreneur, and Marine Corps officer dedicated to helping students grow into confident, capable leaders. He is the founder of Velle Logos, an education company that equips young adults with the habits, strategies, and mentorship they need to succeed in school and in life. Through online courses, coaching, and his podcast Teach, Coach, Mentor, Michael helps students master the art of learning while developing the character and discipline needed to thrive.

With advanced degrees in physics, mathematics, international relations, and economics, Michael has taught at institutions like the U.S. Naval Academy and spent hundreds of hours tutoring students from middle school to college. His approach blends deep subject knowledge with practical coaching on habits, mindset, and personal growth—turning traditional tutoring into transformational mentorship.

Michael is also the founder of the Claire Bethany Foundation, which supports military families raising children with disabilities. Inspired by his youngest daughter Claire, who has cerebral palsy, the foundation helps service members afford essential equipment and services not covered by insurance. His mission is personal: to serve those who serve.
 
After more than 20 years of military service, Michael continues to lead with the discipline, care, and sense of duty instilled in him by the Marine Corps. He believes in the power of education not just to inform—but to transform. His work lives at the intersection of teaching, coaching, and service, driven by a simple but unshakable why: to build a better future for his students, his family, and his fellow servicemembers.
