Kiara Pooja Chandru is a Singapore-based entrepreneur, beauty brand founder, and former Project Manager with a background in e-commerce, digital strategy, and innovation. Her journey into entrepreneurship began at the age of 21, when she started selling pre-loved clothing online to fund her university exchange program in the United Kingdom. What began as a necessity quickly revealed her natural talent for sales, branding, and business building.

While still a university student, Kiara launched her first e-commerce brand, Peekus Clozette, a plus-size fashion label created to address a gap in Singapore’s fashion market. At a time when inclusive sizing was limited, she built a brand that empowered women to feel confident, seen, and stylish. This early success laid the foundation for her entrepreneurial mindset and long-term vision.

After exploring expansion opportunities and pitching an app concept to investors, that chapter didn’t unfold as planned; she made the practical choice to enter corporate life. Kiara transitioned into a seven-year career in project management within the digital and tech industry. During this time, she worked across web development, AI-driven solutions, and digital marketing strategies, collaborating with global clients and cross-functional teams. These years sharpened her expertise in leadership, systems thinking, and business operations skills that would later become instrumental in her own ventures.

However, despite her professional growth, corporate life eventually became limiting. The turning point came when Kiara was invited to teach as a guest lecturer for French university students on a learning expedition in Singapore. In this role, she mentored students on building business models, developing app concepts, and applying real-world project management frameworks.

That experience became a defining moment.

Standing in a position of authority, teaching, guiding, and reflecting, Kiara reconnected with her original entrepreneurial identity. She realised she was no longer meant to build visions for others, but to step into her own again fully. The invitation to teach didn’t just validate her expertise; it gave her clarity, confidence, and conviction.

She shed old identities, faced hard questions, and decided to go all in bigger, bolder, and more intentional than ever before.

From that decision, Glow by Kiara was born.
