Josh Grimm

Fitness and Mindfulness Coach

I started the brand FITNUT in 2014 after returning from an extensive period of time in Southeast Asia. A few months into my stay, I experienced a painful breakup with my partner of two years and, as a result, was feeling very isolated with moments of sadness and a lack of purpose. I decided to volunteer with a children’s orphanage outside of Siem Reap, Cambodia, with the hopes of becoming elevated enough to feel some lightness again. I was incredibly moved by my experience. My inspiration felt by the kids and workers at the orphanage motivated me to create a brand that not only helps people but has a giving-back component. Through this experience, I was inspired to build a brand that focused on what matters most to me: Fitness, Nutrition, Travel, and Giving back.

Many months later, I returned to New York City and started working with the Cambodian Community Dream Association (CCDO), being named an ambassador to their organization, in which I raised money through fundraising events. Currently, I take a percentage of annual sales and donate to a variety of organizations.

Today, FITNUT stands for advocating a lifestyle that harmonizes rigorous fitness routines with holistic mental and emotional well- being practices.

The offerings, from personal training to lifestyle and mindfulness coaching and immersive retreats, are designed for the modern individual who navigates the complexities of life with vigor and a warrior mindset. I provide not only the tools for physical transformation but also the space for emotional and mental growth, acknowledging that true wellness transcends the gym. My podcasts and books serve as conduits for inspiration, education, and community building, inviting others into a conversation that uplifts, informs, and connects.

In addition to being the Fitness and Mindfulness Editor of the online publication BROSTRICK, FITNUT has been featured in multiple publications as a feature article and as a contributor in The New York Times, Business Insider, Readers Digest, Shout out SoCal, Bold Journey, SDVoyager, and The Points Guy.
