Inbar Lee Hyams

Feng Shui Consultant

Inbar Lee Hyams is a BTB feng shui practitioner based in Haifa, Israel. She works in the Black Sect tradition, which maps a home from its front door rather than by compass direction, and combines it with 9 Star Ki numerology and the weekly portion of the Hebrew Bible. She calls the result Shui-ish: feng shui adjacent to the original practice, with room in it for Jewish thought.
 
She arrived at the work sideways. Born in California and living in Israel for nearly thirty years, she had moved twenty-seven times by her early thirties and gotten very good at making a space look and feel good, fast. Apartment #28 refused. Life lifed there in ways no amount of rearranged furniture could fix, and she now describes the place as funk shui. When the family eventually moved out, the change was quick enough that she went looking for a framework to explain it.
 
She trained in BTB feng shui with Amanda Gibby Peters. Her space readings are delivered as written documents, organized room by room in priority order, in language a client can act on without learning a new vocabulary first.

Inbar holds a BA in English Literature and an MA in Creative Writing, and spent roughly twenty years as a copywriter in Israel's startup ecosystem before turning that ear toward homes. She writes a weekly newsletter in Hebrew and English that mashes up feng shui with the weekly portion of the Hebrew Bible and whatever happened in her own house that week.
 
She lives with three humans, two dogs, one cat, and a bowl of fish in 860 square feet, and treats the apartment as an ongoing experiment.
