Haifa Hamdi
Scientist, Nutritionist and Author
Dr. Haifa Hamdi is a research scientist, holistic nutritionist, and author whose life and career bring together science, creativity, and a deep commitment to wellness. After earning her Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of South Paris in 2006, she built her career across leading institutions, including the Institute for Medical Immunology in Belgium, INSERM in France, and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Having lived on three different continents, Africa, Europe, and North America, she brings a uniquely global perspective to her work. Her research has resulted in more than 15 publications and nearly 2,000 citations, with expertise spanning lung cancer therapies, immune tolerance, and innovative approaches to latent tuberculosis testing. Along the way, she also contributed to the development of one of the most advanced modern treatments, cell therapy, helping to move cutting-edge science from the laboratory toward life-changing therapies for patients.
From a young age, Dr. Hamdi was a storyteller and artist, painting and creating characters so vivid that her siblings believed they were real. These stories and artworks became cherished family treasures, held privately for many years. Today, she shares this passion more widely, using her creative voice to inspire others and to make health education accessible and inspiring. By merging her lifelong talents in storytelling and illustration with her scientific knowledge, she bridges two worlds that rarely meet: rigorous research and imaginative communication.
Certified in holistic nutrition, Dr. Hamdi empowers families to embrace healthier lifestyles and to see wellness as something joyful rather than restrictive. Her latest children’s book, The Secret of Sugarland: Join the Sweet Rangers(2025), transforms nutrition into a magical adventure, showing children that healthy choices can be both empowering and fun, delivered with no lectures, only imagination and play. Looking ahead, she is expanding her impact by collaborating on innovative treatments for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and by creating supportive programs for parents raising children with digestive health challenges.
By combining her scientific contributions, her multicultural experiences, and her creative gifts of storytelling and painting, Dr. Hamdi stands as a voice of authority and inspiration. Her mission is to help both children and adults around the world see health not as a burden, but as an empowering, creative, and joyful journey.
