Elena Capurro

Somatic Practitioner

Elena is the founder of Elena Soma Energetics, a trauma-aware somatic and energetic practice supporting individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, and nervous system overwhelm. Her work centres on helping people restore regulation, reconnect with the body’s innate intelligence, and cultivate a felt sense of safety, clarity, and self-trust.

Before entering the therapeutic space, Elena spent over two decades working in the television industry as a producer and director, often collaborating closely with individuals sharing deeply personal and vulnerable stories. Witnessing the long-term impact of unprocessed emotion and chronic nervous system stress shaped her sensitivity, presence, and respect for pacing—qualities that now underpin how she works with clients.

Elena is a certified Spinal Energetics practitioner and Reiki practitioner, offering sessions that are attuned, trauma-informed, and guided by the body rather than imposed techniques. Her approach prioritises safety over catharsis, choice and consent, and the gradual unwinding of deeply held patterns. Rather than forcing release, her work supports the nervous system to reorganise organically over time.

In 2026, Elena will expand her practice to include Somatic Enquiry and Breathwork, further integrating body-centred dialogue, nervous system awareness, and energetic practices. This evolution reflects her belief in bridging modern therapeutic understanding with complementary and alternative modalities, supporting clients to build capacity, process safely, and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

Elena works with women and men of all backgrounds, particularly those who feel disconnected from their bodies, stuck in survival mode, or exhausted from “holding it all together.” Her work is not surface-level healing; it is a slow, embodied process that honours the body’s wisdom and timing.

As a Brainz Magazine Executive Contributor, Elena’s writing spans nervous system health, embodiment, trauma-aware healing, self-regulation, and modern wellbeing. Her contributions also explore themes of leadership, creativity, resilience, and the cultural pressure to continually perform—always through a grounded, body-informed lens.
