Debi’s journey in health began in 1973 when her mother was stricken with late-onset MS. At the time, she was just a mere 15 years old. Within a very short time, she became her 24-hour primary caregiver, caring for her personal needs as well as managing the household. This life-altering experience, at such a young age, taught Debi resilience and compassion, which she carried into her medical career. Within her grew the unshakable drive to understand and improve health as well as advocate for patients and their right to proper care.
 
In 1987, Debi was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, which was only the beginning of a cascade of rare and difficult diagnoses to follow. For 21 years, she trusted doctors to be her sole health advocates. In 2015, they abruptly abandoned her in treating her pain with no concern for the impact on her physical and mental health. Debi’s chronic pain was endless and from this point, she continued to accumulate a myriad of health conditions.
 
However, little did she understand at the time but their rejection was her opportunity to regain sovereignty over her own health and well-being. Their refusal led Debi to meet and learn about the Endocannabinoid System, and through years of research and study, she not only regained the will to live but also the strength and endurance to flourish. Medical Cannabis became the key to reclaiming her life. Not only did it assist her in eliminating her reliance on opioids and 24 other pharmaceuticals, but it also brought unexpected improvements to her severe COPD and Pulmonary MAC lung disease.
 
Debi is now a victor in health as she has had no new diagnoses since beginning Cannabinoid Therapeutics and living a life she never thought she would see again.

Learning how to incorporate Medical Cannabis into her complex medical treatment plan opened the opportunity to discover what medical advancements are truly possible. Currently, Debi speaks from experience to advocate for safe, quality Medical Cannabis access for all through the education she provides.
