Brian Stewart Caldwell-White

Health and Wellbeing Advocate

Brian is an informed health and wellbeing advocate, writer, and entrepreneur dedicated to improving the lives of people and their pets. His journey is shaped by a diverse professional history, deep personal challenges, and a passion for building inclusive, supportive communities.

Born in Germany to an English father and Scottish mother, Brian spent most of his life in Wakefield before moving to Australia in 2000 for a brief time. It was during this time that he embraced his sexuality and began a new chapter of authenticity and self-discovery.

Over the years, Brian has worn many hats — from working as Social Welfare Law Expert with charities supporting vulnerable individuals to serving as a Governor for a local NHS Foundation Trust and to his achievments as a Medicolegal Expert working for and with Healthcare Professionals, where he obtained the unique Diploma in Legal Medicine. These roles gave him valuable insight into healthcare, social care, and the unique challenges faced by underrepresented communities. Along the way, he navigated mental health struggles, a history of trauma, and a prostate cancer diagnosis when he was only 41 years old — experiences that deepened his empathy and strengthened his commitment to advocacy.

In 2022, Brian moved to Scotland with Barbara, a spirited Saluki-cross rescue dog who inspired a deeper connection to animal welfare and holistic health. Barbara’s journey of transformation through training, structure, and botanical remedies became a catalyst for Brian’s next venture: Barberras Botanicals Ltd. The company reflects his belief in natural, plant-based solutions that promote wellbeing for both humans and pets.

Today, Brian writes extensively on human and pet health, neurodiversity, disabilities, prostate cancer, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion. His articles, published in outlets such as Brainz Magazine, blend lived experience with expert research to educate, challenge stigma, and empower readers to take positive action.

Brian’s mission is simple yet powerful: to inspire others to care for their physical and mental health, embrace diversity, and build stronger, more compassionate communities. Through his writing, advocacy, and entrepreneurial projects, he invites readers to join him on a journey of growth, connection, and wellbeing — proving that even small steps can create meaningful change in lives everywhere.
