Brian Simpson

The Heart Attack Thriver

Brian Simpson is 56 years young and an 8-year Heart Attack Survivor calling himself on social media "THE HEART ATTACK THRIVER" because he's not just "Surviving, he is THRIVING!"

In the months immediately following his Heart Attack in 2016, Brian experienced several amazing, serendipitous events that led him to leave a 25-year marriage, travel to India and Nepal on a Spiritual Journey arranged by a Buddhist monk he randomly met at the airport in Amsterdam and who ended up sitting behind him on the same flight!

Upon returning to Canada from his life-changing trip to India, Brian bought a Triumph motorcycle and set off on a Solo trip from Toronto to Costa Rica and back. The trip took almost a year, and Brian visited nine countries, 21 states, and six provinces on what he now calls "His Journey of the Soul."

During this trip, Brian realized he had a gift and was a powerful storyteller. His willingness to be vulnerable and openly share his struggles inspired people to open up and share theirs and ask him for help and guidance on the things they were struggling with.

These experiences ultimately led him to become a "Professional Life Coach," training under Carolyn Freyer Jones and Steve Chandler, among others, and following it up with Coaching Certification through Lumia Coaching under the leadership of Noelle Cordeaux and John Kim "The Angry Therapist."

Brian's coaching focuses on supporting people that have had a recent heart attack or similar near-death experience and are struggling to not only make sense of it but who are crippled by the Fear, Anxiety, and Stress that they will have another heart attack!

Through his training and personal experience, Brian has developed a "Thriver Mindset" and coined the term "Grieving the Loss of Your Old Self" to help explain all the emotions one feels after a near-death experience.

Brian helps his clients use their experience to propel them forward instead of being an anchor that holds them back from truly living!

Brian now resides in Southern California with his life partner Adrienne, whom he met in Sedona on a sunrise hike in 2017 while on his solo motorcycle trip!
