Asha Carolyn Young

Instructor and Practitioner of Healing Arts

Teaching and empowering people with ideas, energy, and strategies for self-healing is at the essence of what Asha Carolyn Young offers. Energy healer and instructor, painter and painting coach, writer and radio host, Asha wears an array of hats.

She teaches and practices intuitive energy healing and Quantum-Touch®, and also coaches emotional-physical releasing and freestyle painting. You can hear her talking about self-healing and leading exercises twice monthly when she hosts “Asha’s Healing” for News for the Soul radio.

Born in Thailand to American parents, Asha graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles and Berkeley (B.A., history; M.A., cultural anthropology). Her professional background includes teaching; freelance writing; grant-writing; newspaper feature writing; indie publishing; and showing her paintings.

The 1991 Oakland Hills Firestorm in California jarred Asha into a spiritual awakening. While the fire raged toward their home, she and her partner visualized divine white light encircling the house, which survived with a perfect circle around it, the only standing house for blocks.

Within weeks, she heard "Asha" whispered during meditation and began signing her paintings with this name. She started channeling, studying laying-on-of hands, and painting abstractly.

Her deep interest in alternative, and energy healing intensified in 2020 when her husband developed emphysema. With help of traditional Chinese herbs (https://WeiInstitute.com), acupuncture, and her own mix of Quantum Touch® and intuitive, spiritual healing, Asha oversaw his complete recovery, surprising his western doctors.
