Founder of Genuine Growth LLC | Coach | Speaker | Herbalist

Angie West, MSN, RN, ACC, is a registered nurse, ICF-credentialed healthcare leadership coach, speaker, and organizational culture strategist with 15 years of experience inside the systems she now helps others navigate. After leaving a senior leadership role at a major academic health system in 2024, she founded Genuine Growth LLC — a coaching and consulting practice dedicated to the humans healthcare keeps burning through.
 
Angie works with nurses and healthcare leaders who are tired of shrinking. She helps them reclaim agency — the power to act from their values, trust their own voice, and lead in ways that don't cost them everything. Her work sits at the intersection of moral injury, psychological safety, and structural critique, grounded in the belief that burnout is not a personal failure but a predictable outcome of systems designed without care at their center.
 
She is the creator of the Brave Culture Shift framework and writes candidly about the forces driving good clinicians out of the field. Her writing has appeared on Substack and Brainz Magazine. Angie is an active speaker to nursing organizations and healthcare teams, with topics spanning moral injury, psychological safety, reclaiming leadership identity, and building brave cultures in broken systems.
 
Beyond her coaching work, Angie is a practicing herbalist and founder of An-G's Apothecary, a handcrafted herbal product line rooted in whole-person healing. She lives and works in Lawrence, Kansas.
