Dr. Andrew Houn is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (DACCHM), a professor, and the founder of the award-winning Beyond Acupuncture, an integrative healthcare practice located in Dana Point, California. The clinic provides acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine services for residents of Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, Laguna Beach, and surrounding South Orange County communities.
 
His clinical approach combines Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with a modern, evidence-informed perspective, emphasizing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique health concerns. His areas of focus include pain management, longevity, fertility support and reproductive health, women's health, digestive disorders, neurological conditions, stress-related concerns, post-surgical recovery, and complex chronic conditions. Treatments may incorporate acupuncture, customized Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, and red light therapy.
 
Dr. Andrew earned his doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Science and his master's degree from South Baylo University, where he also serves as a professor teaching acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He is a nationally certified Diplomate of Acupuncture.
 
His broader educational background includes a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley. He also studied at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. His professional experience includes working at UC Irvine Medical Center, where he collaborated with clinicians on the procurement of advanced medical devices and technologies. This experience helped shape his perspective on integrating traditional East Asian medicine with contemporary healthcare.
