Amy Kida
Integrative Bodywork Therapist
Amy Kida is a New York State licensed massage therapist. A member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). She was raised in upstate NY and earned a degree in Business Administration from Herkimer College. Knowing her passion was in the touch field of careers she opted to leave traditional education and traveled south, became a graduate of Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy in Jacksonville, Florida.
Her love for bodywork and exploring body systems has been a mission of her lifelong learning. She has spent her adult life being inspired to learn energy systems that have a direct impact on human function. Her continuing education has been with the Upledger Institute, Barral Institute, Touch for Health, Integrative Therapies, The American School of Classical Feng Shui, The Yoga Farm and other programs across the USA. In addition to being a Feng Shui consultant she is also certification in reflexology, a yoga teacher and spends her time studying other modalities of bodywork including Chi Nei Tsung.
Amy balances a work life: therapy session, yoga classes, public speaking, writing and volunteer community services. Her biggest honor is raising her 3 children and teaching them the value of living in the present moment. She can be found hiking, skiing, gardening, elbows deep in renovation projects, or upcycling. She spends many hours being an outspoken advocate for children. She is a supporter of education, music, arts and outdoor living. Stories from the table have taught her there is no do overs, but there is an option to do better, it’s a personal choice we all make.
