Dr. Amee Shah

Dentist/Chronic Illness Adv/Speaker/Coach

Dr. Amee Shah has built her life on resilience long before she had the words to describe it. At just eight years old, she was diagnosed with epilepsy- a moment that could have defined her limitatione, but instead became the foundation of her strength. Navigating childhood with a chronic condition required an immense support system and maturity beyond her years. Doctor visits, medications and moments of uncertainty became part of her routine, yet they never dimished her curiousity, compassion, or determination to live a full and meaningful life. Still, in those early years and well into adulthood, she carried a quiet burden--choosing to hide her diagnosis our of fear that others' negative opinions might limit her opportunites or stand in the way of her goals.

From an early. age, she was drawn to helping others. That instinct, paired with her own experiences as a patient, inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare. She set her sights on dentistry--a field where precision, care, human connection and scheduling flexibility intersect. Her journey was not without obstacles. Managing epilepsy while maintaining the rigorous demands of higher education required discipline, adaptability and an unwavering belief in her abilities--often without others fully understanding the strength it took, as she kept her condition private. In 2006, she graduated dental school, achieving a milestone that once may have seemed out of reach.

As a full time practicing dentist, she has built a reputation not only for her clinical excellence but also for her empathy and mentorship. She knows firsthand what it means to sit in a patient's chair, to trust, to hope, and to persevere. That perspective shaped her approach, making her not just a healthcare provider, but an advocate for her patients' overall well-being.

Beyond her professional liffe, she is a devoted wife and mother. Married and raising two healthy teenagers, she has created a home grounded in love, support and resilience--encouraging her through challenges and celebrating every victory along the way. Balancing motherhood, marriage, and a demanding career while managing a chronic condition is no small feat, yet she continues to do so with grace and intention.

Over time, her relationshop with her diagnosis evolved. What she once felt complelled to hide, she gradually began to embrace as part of her story- not as a weakness, but a source of strenth and connection. Recognizing that many individuals with chronic illnesses struggle in silence, just as she once did, she felt called to do more. She became a life coach, dedicatingn herself to helping others navigate similar paths. Drawing from her own lived experience, she empowers her clients to pursue their passions without compromising their health, while also encouraging them to release the fear of judgement that so often holds them back.

Today, she stands as a testament to what is possible when resilience meets purpose. Her life is not defined by epiliepsy, but enriched by the stregth it has cultivated within her. As a health care professional, a mother, a wife, and a life coach, she continues to thrive--proving that chronic illness does not have to limit one's dreams, but can instead shape a life of deeper meaning, compassion and impact.
