Alex Mellor-Brook

Co-Founder of Select Personal Introductions

From the outside, Alex Mellor-Brook’s career might look like a collection of accolades: Co-founder of a multi-award-winning matchmaking agency, Vice Chair of the UK’s dating industry governing body, and a regular commentator across television, radio, podcasts and the press. Yet, behind the titles lies a career spanning almost three decades, guided by one mission: helping people find and sustain meaningful relationships.

Alex began his career in dating and relationships over 28 years ago, recognising how complex and often discouraging the search for love could be. This inspired him to co-found Select Personal Introductions, a premium dating and matchmaking agency that supports professionals, entrepreneurs, celebrities, and high-net-worth singles who value privacy, compatibility, and lasting connections. What started as a boutique service has since grown into a global enterprise built on trust, expertise and discretion.

Alongside leading his team, Alex is an Accredited International Matchmaker and Science-based Relationship Coach. His approach combines empathy, strategy, and science, focusing not only on introductions but also on providing clients with the tools to nurture relationships once they have begun.

Widely recognised as an authority on modern relationships, Alex is a trusted media expert whose insights have been featured on ITV, BBC, Fox News, TalkTV and national radio. His expertise has also been featured in leading publications, including The Sunday Times, Cosmopolitan, GQ, and The Independent. Beyond broadcast and press, he is a regular columnist for The Cheshire Magazine, a feature contributor for NationalWorld, and an Executive Contributor for Brainz Magazine, where he uses his platform to demystify dating and promote healthier, lasting relationships. Alex’s expertise has also garnered attention in the public eye, with notable work alongside personalities from The Real Housewives of Cheshire and appearances on At Home with The Nolans.

In his role as Vice Chair of the UK’s dating industry governing body, he champions excellence in standards, helping to shape a transparent, ethical and professional future for the industry.

Today, Alex Mellor-Brook is recognised as one of the country’s most trusted voices on love, relationships, and human connection. Whether he’s guiding a private client, writing for a national publication, or speaking on air, his philosophy remains constant: genuine relationships are built on trust, shared values, and the willingness to grow together.
