Yoga & Wellbeing Instructor
Alex started yoga at the age of 19 when she was studying at university in London. She had lost her close friend to meningitis and was feeling lost and overwhelmed. She passed a yoga hall after one of her lectures and the words on the sign outside drew her in. She found herself doing a class and instantly felt lighter afterwards. She attended regular classes and trained in 2009 at the renowned Sivananda centre in Tyrol, Austria. She began teaching traditional Sivananda hatha yoga and with time developed an interest in Vinyasa flow, linking movement with breath. After having her two children, she realised the need to connect with the pelvic floor and heal after childbirth to prevent future problems with her body as she matured.
Since 2018, Alex trained further in Fertility yoga after a number of her clients asked if yoga could support Fertility. She holds a diploma in Fertility yoga and has supported many individuals and couples on their road to parenthood. She has helped through bespoke sessions, as well as implantation sessions for those going with IVF and also post transfer blood flow sessions. She also supports through gentle practice in early pregnancy (first 12 weeks).
Alex has led Fertility and Wellness workshops, alongside guest speakers. Her one-day retreats offer a powerful opportunity to step away from daily pressures and rediscover a sense of self and wellbeing. She is a big fan of finding inner peace and calm in life, avoiding drama and has provided guidance and techniques on how to find your peace.
She considers herself to be always growing both professionally and personally. With a keen interest in the nervous system, she has attended brain immersion workshops to deepen her knowledge and understanding, She has also been an expert for the IVF Network and has done a Fertility series with Balance magazine.
