Alastair Jessel is the Founder & CEO of The Postbiotic Company Ltd, operating under the brand AYA BIOME™ - a premium postbiotic supplement company built on a foundational shift in gut health science: moving beyond probiotics toward postbiotics, the beneficial compounds produced through fermentation that offer more targeted, stable, and clinically-grounded health effects.
 
At the heart of the AYA BIOME™ range is fermented turmeric, a proprietary ingredient made from Bhutanese Curcuma longa fermented with a registered strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus, backed by a filed patent and multiple human and animal clinical trials. The product range spans everyday wellness formulations for men, women, and gut restoration, through to a comprehensive longevity stick pack combining fermented actives with resveratrol, NR, and vitamin K2. Alastair has led the company through product development, MHRA and ASA CAP Code compliance, FDA compliance, international regulatory strategy across the EU and US, and investor fundraising, including a seed round under the UK’s S/EIS scheme.
 
Alongside his work in supplements, Alastair is Director of Battersea Park Clinic, an integrative wellness centre in London offering a wide range of advanced therapies, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the Energy Enhancement System, red and blue light therapy, molecular hydrogen inhalation, and frequency healing ‘med-bed’ technology, among others.
 
Alastair is also the writer behind The Postbiotic Dispatch, a Substack newsletter that takes a forensic, evidence-based approach to gut health, longevity, and the wellness industry at large - including honest scrutiny of his own products alongside those of competitors.
 
He hosted the UK’s first Energy Enhancement Conference in London in 2024 and then again in 2025 and has appeared on many podcasts and conferences discussing health, diet and the gut microbiome.
