There are lots of ideas about finding your purpose – most of them are wrong and will only have you unconsciously creating more of the same... Did you forget why you are here on planet earth?

silhouette of a person with his/her arms wide open at the shore during sun set.

Don't worry – you're in good company.

It's part of the function of being born into this life that we forget our mission...

As soon as we start to incarnate, we forget the very reason we came here.

There are thousands of books on Amazon that refer to our purpose...

Which speaks volumes about the ongoing search and desire for us to know what our purpose is.

So why is it so important to us?

The easy answer would be that it would meet some inner curiosity. ‒ It could help us live a more satisfying life.

Perhaps we could make clearer decisions and do things that help us wake up every morning knowing that we are on the right path.

Sadly, easy answers are usually what you get when you try to find answers to this question.

A quick search online will provide advice like: Make a list of what you are good at.

Or, list the things you like to do the most.

But from experience, working, training and coaching with hundreds of people, I can tell you that this advice is worthless.

The problem is not the lists. The problem is where you are coming from when making a list.

If you can 100% guarantee that you are creating answers to those questions from your highest, purest and most divine self, then yes, those answers may be relevant...

...But, if there is any part of your beliefs, your ego/identity and your habitual patterns "helping you" form that list, then that list will be worthless.

In fact, worse than useless, it will be working against you.

Your identity – the part of yourself that is conscious during every-day-living can only look back into your past for answers.

Looking back, all it will find is evidence that the world is how you already believe it to be. It's embedded in cognitive bias designed to only show you that which reinforces what you already believe.

As such, it will not awaken you to new possibilities and potentials. Instead, you will unconsciously create more of what you habitually create. More experiences that are like what you have already experienced.

Remember, when we incarnated into this life, we forgot who we truly were. We forgot why we were coming here. We forgot our true nature. So our identity can only access information picked up during our lifetime. Information is designed to keep you in the same place, creating the same old results.

Despite this limitation, the purpose remains one of the most important questions we can dedicate our time, effort and resources to answering.

When we discover our true nature and purpose and live aligned with that information, our lives can change in a heartbeat.

Every day will seem meaningful. Every moment of reminding yourself of your true nature will result in living a more rewarding life.

The doubts about whether we are on the right path will disappear.

The questions about whether we are in the right job, the right business, with the right partner... all vanish.

What we are left with is one single question...

Is this [Insert action, e.g., Business opportunity, marriage proposal, job offer, purchase decision, new house... etc.] going to bring me closer to living my true nature and purpose, or not?

If the answer is no, then it's easy to move on.

If it's yes, it is in alignment, then you take that action wholeheartedly.

When things are in alignment, what tends to happen is that all obstacles vanish or cease to be an issue.

Creative solutions present themselves. Unexpected synchronicities land in your lap as though the gods of luck are sitting on your shoulder.

Magic unfolds quite naturally in surprising ways.

Life takes on a quality of effortless flow.

We start living life the way we are meant to.

Of course, to fully and clearly answer this question, you need to know what your purpose is.

You need to know the true nature of who you are, and causes your light to shine more brightly.

...and you must be taking daily action leading you further along, that path.

Without knowing your path and purpose and taking action on the steps that knowledge will give you... then nothing will change.

For thousands of years, the notion of death and rebirth has lived in mythology and stories. The Phoenix rising from the ashes, the resurrection, Isis and Osiris...

In all these stories, a connection is formed with the higher, and the subject is reborn into a new life.

Like all myths, these are allegories that describe a radical change in who we are. When we explore and discover our true nature and purpose, we set this shift in motion.

Deciding to uncover your true nature is a catalyst that can set magic in motion and cause profound shifts in who you are and how you live.

Shifts that can make the way you've been living up until now seem meaningless and dissatisfying...

...and open the doors to a richer, more loving, more satisfying life.

...And surely that's worth dedicating your time, focus and intention to?

If this is a path you feel drawn to, I invite you to check out this five-day mini course I created around finding your true nature and purpose.
