Sarah Maconachie, Mindset Consulting

Tell us about yourself and where you are from.

Hi, I am Sarah Originally from the UK, I came to Australia to travel and never made it home. Here I am 15 years later and I love it! I am a very proud working mum of 3 young Children, my eldest is 4 and then I have twins that are 2. My life is utter chaos, as you can imagine.

I am a Director at PGY Consultants which is an incredible Mindset Consultancy, I also have my own blog Work Hard Parent Hard, where I write about Parenting, Mindset, being a working parent, Gender Equality and everything in between.

Tell us about PGY Consultants and what you do there.

At PGY Consultants we deliver a life changing program originally created by Bob Proctor that has transformed the lives of millions around the world. We essentially help Individuals and Corporate organisations to change their paradigms in order to change their behaviours and the results they are getting in life. Changing your Paradigms is extremely powerful and will improve all areas of your life. I can’t believe the things that are happening in my life now, I only ever dreamed about what I wanted in life and now it is becoming a reality. Our mindset controls everything we do and learning how it works is the best thing you can do to grow and develop as a person. It’s such a pleasure to go on the journey with so many and to see the amazing changes that are occurring in their lives.

We also do a lot in the Philanthropic space as this is something we are extremely passionate about. We offer scholarships to Not for Profits or Charities to enable them to grow and develop their organisations and consequently help more across the community. These organisations would never have the opportunity to do personal or professional development as they are so busy helping others so it’s a wonderful way for us to give back and support them.

What made you start your blog Work Hard Parent Hard.

I love writing and have always wanted to write a book. I had some time off over Christmas and was doing a lot of Mindset work and finally having a bit of time to focus and reset and I just decided I am going to start a blog. I have so much to talk about being a working parent and so much to share around mindset. I made the decision to do it and just started that’s the power of a good Mindset. I also now have 2 great book idea’s so I am going to hopefully bring those to life too so watch this space.

What is your mission?

My mission is to transform as many people’s lives as possible. My 3 big missions are to help Corporate Organisations to understand the importance of Mindset across their teams, to help parents understand the benefits of understanding themselves and their children, regaining their own purpose, drive and confidence. I also want to help to bridge the gap in Gender Equality as I believe a lot of the issues/ biases/ stereotypes that are still very apparent today could be transformed with changing individuals’ paradigms.

What inspires you to do what you do?

I just love what I do. I feel incredibly Grateful to be doing something I love and to understand my mindset as in-depth as I do. Not only has it helped me hugely in my career and taken me to places I only ever dreamt of, but it has enabled me to be the best mother I can be and understand my children a million times better than I did before. I have such a clear purpose in my life of what I want to achieve and that inspires me to get up and do what I do every day.

What does the future look like for Work hard Parent Hard and PGY Consultants?

It looks BIG! We are doing some incredible work at PGY Consultants currently. We have some awesome collaborations with Leadership strategists, lots of work in the Philanthropic space, potential collaborations assisting with change management, idea’s around parenting and working with schools and teachers, it’s all very exciting.

In terms of my blog, I hope to help Woman to feel more empowered as they shift into the world of motherhood and to regain their purpose, passion and strive for more and I hope I can write Lots around this to help. I also want to help men through the Gender Diversity challenges by providing blogs to encourage them through the journey of assisting more at home to enable women to do more at work. I would love to write my own book. I have just finished a Chapter for “Curiosity Killed the 9-5” which will be out later this year and I hope to be doing my own Anthology and another book at some point this year too.

When you do work on your Mindset you start to realise that anything is possible, and I am right in the thick of that at the moment. I have big plans and big ideas and I know we will make each and every one of them a reality.
