Introduce yourself!

My name is Rohit Bassi, also known as The Communication Wizard. Beyond being a speaker, trainer, and coach, I am deeply passionate about inspiring mindful communication worldwide. My life is not just about professional accomplishments; it extends to my hobbies like exploring improvisational theatre, travelling to soak in diverse cultures, engaging in outdoor activities for balance, and sharing tea and conversations with like-minded people.

When and why did you decide to start ROI Talks?

ROI Talks was founded with a vision to guide leaders and organizations to harness the power of public speaking and communication. I recognized the need for a platform that confronts the barriers of change, conflict, and confusion, empowering individuals to use communication as a tool for success.

What kind of audience do you target your business towards?

My audience primarily consists of decision-makers, C-Suite executives, Sales Directors, HR leaders, and individuals keen on excelling in their communication skills and leadership presence. These are professionals who value the impact of effective communication and public speaking in their personal and professional lives.

What are your current goals for your business?

The current goals for my business include inspiring a billion people to embrace mindful and powerful public speaking, helping professionals achieve the 4I's - Inform, Influence, Inspire, and Income, and integrating public speaking skills into various aspects like sales, leadership, and customer service for comprehensive communication excellence.

Tell us a little bit about your course "Living Through Self Compassion"?

"Living Through Self Compassion" is an e-learning course that I offer, based on the principles laid out in my book of the same name. This course is designed to empower individuals to embrace self-compassion in their daily lives. It focuses on nurturing a kinder, more empathetic relationship with oneself, which in turn positively impacts our interactions with others. The course includes practical strategies and insights to help learners cultivate self-compassion, leading to personal growth and well-being.

What is your work inspired by?

My work is greatly inspired by the concepts of courage, clarity, conviction, and compassion. These four pillars form the foundation of my approach to communication and personal development. Additionally, the eightfold path plays a significant role in shaping my methodologies and teachings. This path, which includes aspects like wise understanding, wise intent, and wise speech, informs my approach to fostering mindful and impactful communication skills.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

My greatest career achievement includes being a world-leading speaker, trainer, and coach, providing inspiring and practical talks and sessions in mastering wise and impactful communication. Additionally, being featured on platforms like TED and collaborating with renowned figures like Jack Canfield marks significant milestones in my career.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

If I could change one aspect of my industry, it would be to shift the focus from merely technical aspects of public speaking to embracing communication as a tool for creating genuine connections and fostering a compassionate and peaceful world.Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?In 10 years, I envision myself having made significant strides towards my dream of inspiring a billion people. I see myself as a key influencer in the global shift towards mindful communication, having enriched countless lives through the teachings I have discovered and practices in public speaking and compassionate communication.
