The Journey Of The Wealth And Wellness Coach – Exclusive Interview With Andrea Reichert

As a former accountant, now turned life coach, Andrea Reichert has a lifetime of experience working with people and their money. One thing she was never taught during her time in business school was that money is emotional – that it’s something we have feelings about, that we get attached to, and with whom we share a relationship. Realizing she could transform her relationship with money with this new-found awareness, The Wealth and Wellness Coach was born. Drawing upon her experiences with her accounting clients, and combining it with NLP training, Andrea began to change her relationship with money and that of others. Her mission: Transforming your relationship with money by helping you generate more emotional wealth in your life first.

Andrea Reichert

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better. My name is Andrea Reichert, also known as, The Wealth and WellnessCoachTM. It’s lovely to meet you.

I was born and raised on the Canadian prairies and spent my 30s and 40s living in the most extraordinary of cities – Montréal, Canada, where I worked as an art conservator for 15 years and later on, as an accountant. In December of 2019, after my first experience working with a non-traditional business coach, I found myself on a plane heading to the Riviera Maya, where I would spend the winter working remotely from my Caribbean home. I had visited this part of the world numerous times throughout 2018 and ‘19, and it left me with the feeling of wanting something more, something different from the life I was currently living in Canada, where I was “working to work” and not living life. I was seduced by the slower pace of life, the sunny skies, and the warm ocean, and after a few visits, my new mantra became, “Work less, make more money, spend more time on the beach”. Little did I know when I left that December that I would never return to Canada. Three years and countless experiences later, and I am a resident of México where I’ve been living full-time in the Yucatan Peninsula with my sweet callejera Almita, whom I adopted from the streets. When I’m not indulging my sweet dog, you’ll find me at the beach bobbing about on the surface of the sea, dancing kizomba, indulging in my passion for foreign and art-house films, chasing down the next great gastronomic delight in town, or planning my next great travel adventure. Could you please provide an overview of your business, The Wealth and Wellness Coach? What inspired you to start this venture? The Wealth and Wellness Coach is an online business that provides personalized 1:1 coaching for anyone looking to transform their relationship with money. This is Wealth and Wellness. My flagship coaching program isn’t just about your relationship with money. It’s about your emotional wealth, too. It’s about chasing joy and happiness rather than money and material gain. It’s about having a happy, fulfilled life that comes from a bank of emotional wellness rather than a bank account or material gain. It’s the awareness that when your life is abundant in joy and happiness, the ease and emotional wellness around your relationship with money will generate the value you’re looking for (both within and on the books too). It won’t matter what your bank balance looks like when the importance you’ve been placing on it decreases in value in comparison to your personal worth. This is Wealth and Wellness. In 2020 I was in the midst of my own personal transformation while working with a business coach. I was continuing to work remotely as an accountant when my intuition whispered, “The Wealth and Wellness Coach” to me one day. I knew then I was destined to do something more meaningful and inspiring than simply balancing someone’s books or filing their taxes. As an accountant, I was acutely aware of how emotional my clients were when discussing their money, but it took time for me to really understand what that meant and how the key to creating real value in our life and our bank account was by building up a bank of emotional wellness. It took my own personal transformation for me to realize this was a gift I had to offer others. What specific services or products do you offer to clients seeking wealth and wellness coaching? How do these services help individuals improve their overall well-being? I currently offer a single program in three different formats – 1:1, 3-month coaching program called, This is Wealth and Wellness, 90-minute single-session breakthrough sessions, and downloadable access to the This is Wealth and WellnessTM playbook for those that are self-directed and are looking for a more affordable offer. I’ve said it many times before in my capacity as an accountant, “Money is emotional”. It’s something we have feelings about, it’s something we get attached to, it’s something we have a relationship with, but in reality, money is just a neutral circumstance (not unlike anything else). When can detach from money and look within for the love, support, and happiness that we’ve been conditioned to believe money can provide us, we can attain true financial freedom and emotional wellness. How do you approach the integration of wealth and wellness in your coaching practice? Could you elaborate on the strategies and techniques you employ to help clients achieve a balance between these two areas? What’s that old saying, “Money can’t buy happiness”? And yet It’s something we have feelings about. It’s something we get attached to; it’s something we have a relationship with, just like we do with the people in our lives. We expect money to solve our problems and to make us happy. In fact, nothing external can bring us true happiness and emotional freedom - only we can do that for ourselves. In my program, we look at the conditioning we’ve undergone, our personal history with money, and the beliefs and blockages we have about money that collectively prevent us from achieving the financial freedom we desire. Using The Model - a combination of cognitive behaviour therapy and neurolinguistic programming (NLP) supported by hypnosis and EFT, we can go from being an unconscious to conscious creator of our life and our relationship with money.

As the owner of The Wealth and Wellness Coach, what are your long-term goals and vision for the business? How do you see your services evolving in the future to meet the changing needs of your clients?

In time I’d love to see my practice offer group programs for those that thrive in a supportive environment where we can learn from the experiences of others alongside our own. As my practice grows, I see myself expanding and partnering with practitioners in the fields of somatic work and meditation to further assist with breaking down emotional blockages and integrating new belief systems.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

The pivotal moment is actually the culmination of a series of decisions made between 2017 and 2020 that were all informed by my intuition (the subconscious, feeling-body mind) – from the twinge in my uterus that told me to leave my marriage and focus on my healing, to the goosebumps on my arms that led me to a therapist that fast-tracked my healing, to the knowing that informed my decision to work with a business coach that specialized in the subconscious mind and introduced me to NLP, and the voice inside my head that said, “The Wealth and Wellness Coach”. Today, I’ve released myself from the old stories inside my head and rely on the well of emotional wellness within as the source of my true happiness and financial freedom.
