We’re in the middle of a profound shift. The world is tired of surface-level inspiration. People are yearning for something deeper, truer, more human. And we, the coaches, the ones who’ve been called to guide others through transformation, must ask ourselves:

Hand holds a black Guy Fawkes mask on a sunlit bridge, autumn trees in background. The scene is mysterious and dramatic.

Are we really helping in the ways we’re meant to?

Behind the quotes, the reels, the polished content there’s a truth we can no longer ignore: we are being called to show up in ways that go far beyond the screen.

We’re not who we pretended to be

In our work, we’ve all met people who are “successful” by the world’s standards yet profoundly disconnected inside. They tick every box, meet every milestone, yet still wake up wondering, Is this all there is?

But if we’re being honest, we’ve been there too.

Many of us built lives and businesses on templates that never truly fit. We followed the strategy. We played the game. We climbed ladders and posted what we were told to post. And slowly, we began to lose the very why that brought us here.

What we called “professionalism” often meant emotional suppression. What we labelled “strength” came at the cost of softness, stillness, and space to feel. And what we projected as “confidence” was sometimes a carefully constructed mask.

But the soul knows. And it is tired of hiding.

A cleansing is underway and we’re in it

Right now, a collective soul-cleansing is happening. We’re not just being invited to change how we show up as individuals, we're being asked to change how we serve.

I touched on this in my article “How to Awaken Your Inner Wisdom and Step Into Your Soul-Led Confidence”. Real confidence, the kind that leads to authentic transformation, doesn't come from the latest content hack. It comes from presence. From grounded, embodied truth.

This work isn’t flashy. It’s not easily packaged into 30-second advice clips. But it’s the work that changes lives.

Realness is the new standard

We’ve entered a new paradigm. Realness is no longer optional, it's essential. To admit, “I don’t have all the answers.”

To confess, “I’ve done the same thing I now guide others to release.”

To share from a place of lived truth, not distant perfection, this is leadership.

As I explored in “Why Flexibility Unlocks Your Next Level In Business”, our growth often depends not on knowing more, but on letting go. Letting go of rigidity. Letting go of the polished version of what a coach should be. Letting go of the idea that we have to be seen as experts to be effective.

The truth? Our clients don’t need a perfect coach. They need a present one.

It’s time to step out from behind the screen

Here’s the part we don’t talk about enough:

How can we truly help, us, as coaches, if we’re only showing up from behind a screen?

Can we make a lasting difference just by reposting quotes, resharing soundbites, and offering five-minute fixes?

Or do we need to be out there sleeves rolled up, hearts wide open embedded in real community, engaging in real conversations, showing up with real presence?

I’ve learned something the hard way: real transformation doesn’t happen through passive visibility. It happens when we’re genuinely invested in the unfolding stories of the people we’re here to serve.

I used to create that type of content too, hoping people would choose me to be their coach and guide. But I realised soon enough: it was never about that.

People don’t need more curated advice. They need something real. They need authenticity. They need lived examples. They need us.

Not just our strategies but our presence. Our availability. Our humanness.

What if we led from that place?

Imagine what would shift if we showed up not to convert, but to connect.

Imagine what would happen if we spent less time scheduling content, and more time listening to what’s unspoken in our communities.

Imagine what it would feel like to lead from our full truth, not just our polished one.

This isn’t about abandoning online platforms, they're powerful tools. But it’s about remembering that behind every like and comment is a human life. And they need more than our content.

They need our care.

Are you feeling this call?

The whisper that says: this isn’t just about what we teach, it's about how we show up.

We are being called to bring more of our truth, our presence, and our humanity into this work. To lead from the inside out. To stop hiding behind professionalism and start showing up with compassion, with courage, with soul.

This isn't about abandoning the tools or platforms we’ve built.

It’s about remembering what they were meant to serve: real people with real emotions, real challenges, and real stories.

So I ask you:

  • Are you willing to get closer?

  • To lead conversations, not just content?

  • To create safety, not just strategy?

  • To be seen not just for your knowledge, but for your presence?

I strongly believe that the world doesn’t need more coaches with perfect branding. It needs more humans who are awake, aware, and willing to walk beside others.

Real isn’t always easy

Being real might cost us likes, clicks, or certain client types. But it will never cost us ourselves. And what we gain, the deeper trust, real impact, soul-level alignment is worth everything.

Every time we choose presence over performance, we model what it means to live authentically. We tell the people we serve:

“You don’t have to pretend anymore. You’re safe to be real here.” That’s the kind of leadership this world is craving.

And it begins with us.
