Psychic Abilities Described

There are eight primary Clair abilities, and they are as follows:
Clairvoyance – Seeing
Clairgustance – A sense of taste
Clairsalience – A sense of smell
Clairaudience – Hearing information from the senses
Claircognizance – Clear knowing
Clairsentience – Feeling through the senses
Clairempathy – Emotional knowing
Clairtangency – Obtaining information through the hands
Others include astral projection, dowsing, dream telepathy, Mediumship (connecting with deceased spirits), prophecy or predicting the future, psychometry, or obtaining information from objects.
I have been psychic since I was a young child. The gifts run on the maternal side of the family for five generations. I have never known what it is like not to have these abilities. In addition, having had three near-death experiences before age three added to my awareness. Two were choking, two required resuscitation, and the third was drowning, and I had an out-of-body experience.
My mother was less than thrilled when I started seeing spirits and dreaming of upcoming world events. I did not know until recently that my maternal grandmother got into trouble using her abilities in Czechoslovakia.
My mother was concerned about this and told me to stop talking about it. She worried I would be ridiculed for knowing what I knew, so I shut it down for many years. I was always “ intuitive, ” but that to me is very different from having all of the above abilities and being able to activate them at will. This did not happen overnight.
As I got older, the urge to understand, enhance and understand my gifts came with many studies. I did not watch TV for a period of 10 years. I read every spiritual and religious tradition I could find. I studied with Buddhist teachers In NYC from 2004-to 2007 and became a Certified BTB Feng Shu Master ™. After that, I worked with a Shaman for about ten years.
During a shamanic journey into my chakras, I connected with a guide, whom I now know as Carolyn. The person I was working with said a woman is standing behind you, and she wants to communicate with you. She is an oracle; “What is her name, I asked?” She said, “This is a karmic contract; you must connect energetically and agree to work together.” So, in a session connected to her. I felt the energy in my body when we joined. I was told she would come and introduce herself by name. Three nights later, I heard, “My name is Carolyn.” It was a soft voice.
I heard it whispered in my ear. A few days later, I went to a psychic fair to do some readings. It was like someone had flipped a switch. Overnight I was a medium. My first case was very tragic. Her mother had been presumed murdered and missing. All of a sudden, I started to stutter, and a man named Sam (who was a stutterer) came through. He had details, described her house, what had happened. She knew exactly who he was. He told me what was believed to have occurred; unfortunately, the case will not be solved for a very long time.
While in the Feng Shui program, I also had a Kundalini Awakening. I will need to save this for another article. The concept is not well understood in the West and is better known in Eastern Philosophy. Mine was not planned and spontaneous; I connected with yet another guide.
My goal here was to explain what the abilities are. I will follow up in my subsequent articles with examples of how they are present in all types of readings.
