I founded Habitual Sleepers out of a deep-seated conviction that every family, including yours, deserves access to the knowledge and support necessary to foster healthy sleep habits in their children. This conviction was born from my own experiences in the field of childcare, where I witnessed firsthand the challenges families faced with their children's sleep. I understand the frustration and exhaustion that come with sleepless nights and the impact it can have on a family's well-being. Recognizing the profound impact of sleep on overall well-being, I felt compelled and personally connected to take action.

If I could change one thing about my industry, it would be to address the negative stigma surrounding sleep training. Due to that stigma, many families must be convinced to explore sleep training due to misconceptions and misinformation.

The key to dispelling these myths lies in education. Families need access to credible resources and accurate information about the science behind sleep training. Parents need to understand that sleep training is not harmful but can be valuable in promoting healthy sleep habits for their children.

One aspect I would particularly like to change is the accessibility of research and evidence-based information on sleep training for families. Sleep consultants should prioritize providing families with reputable resources and studies to support their recommendations.

Unfortunately, social media and other platforms can perpetuate misinformation about sleep training, making it challenging for families to discern fact from fiction. This misinformation can create unnecessary fear and hesitation among parents.

That's why I'm committed to educating the families I work with about the science of sleep. By clearly understanding the benefits and limitations of sleep training, I aim to empower them to make informed decisions that are best for their child's well-being.
