And it’s hard. Like really, really hard.

Doubts start to creep in about being good enough, knowing enough, showing up in a way that people resonate with.

Is playing small is the way to go?

Let’s talk–leaders take action and stand by their decisions. You have already decided to take the plunge into building your dream life. Stop living with one foot out the door and the other on a banana peel. That means stop playing small; it’s time to commit to moving forward with your big dreams. Backup plan, what is that? Forget about it!

Let’s take a look at the 3 steps to shift your mindset about your business.

  1. Power of Words: Words are incredibly powerful and often we don’t put enough conscious thought into the words we say and surround ourselves with. Words can shift moods, perspectives, and how we look at the world. Their meaning crystallizes perceptions that shape our beliefs, drive our behavior, and ultimately, create our world. Make a conscious effort to surround yourself with positive words and thoughts.

  2. Values: The word values are so overused, they can easily slip into a buzzword with no concrete meaning. Values are not meant to be talked about once, stuck up on a wall and never looked at again. When used the right way values are the foundation of who we are as people, how we live our lives, and how we show up for others. Once you determine your personal values it is easier to make meaningful decisions based on who you are. Making all decisions based on values will help you have confidence behind your decisions as well as make decisions faster.

  3. Perspective Shift: It’s our brain's job to recognize scary things, think back to caveman times, is it dangerous, should I run away or fight! Well, the Starbucks on every corner tells me we have progressed a little from caveman times yet our brains still operate from that perspective. We need to stop, recognize that we are having a negative thought, challenge it, and reframe it!

Ok visionaries…

You are driven by passion. You have that entrepreneurial spirit. You have taken that first step and are moving forward with your big dream. Find a garbage can for that banana peel, it’s time for a mindset shift!
