Cary, North Carolina – October 5, 2026 – Global Resilience Ambassador, international author, mentor, speaker, and U.S. Air Force veteran Martie M. Smith launches The Resilience Keychain™, a practical and deeply personal book built around 14 Keys that invite readers to examine who, or what, may be holding the keys to their peace, identity, voice, boundaries, decisions, and purpose. Rooted in lived experience rather than theory, the book traces how perspective, forgiveness, self-discovery, and transformation can turn adversity into wisdom, direction, and legacy. English and Spanish editions are available through Amazon.

Smiling woman in black-and-white blazer before glowing golden phoenix; text reads Martie M. Smith, Embajadora Global de Resiliencia.

“This book was not written from a perfect life. I earned these keys while living one. My wounds taught me perspective. Forgiveness taught me freedom. Self-discovery helped me recognize who I was beneath what I had survived. Transformation taught me to choose what came next, and purpose showed me that what we survive can become wisdom someone else can use.” – Martie M. Smith

At the heart of The Resilience Keychain™ is one direct question: Who has your keys? Smith asks readers to consider where they may have unknowingly handed away authority over their peace, confidence, identity, or choices, sometimes to another person and sometimes to fear, comparison, expectations, or an old story repeated so often that it begins to sound like truth.

Through 14 Keys, Smith explores self-awareness, inner softness, emotional mastery, expansion, healthy boundaries, sustained action, perspective, inner clarity, radical self-care, inner narrative, healthy relationships, identity, purpose, and legacy. The book does not ask readers to become someone entirely new. It challenges them to recognize what is already within them, decide what no longer deserves authority, and use what life has taught them with greater intention.

Smith’s work has received international recognition, including being named among the Top 100 Mujeres Líderes 2026 by Mujeres Dreams Boss and honors from the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP), including Top Resilience Ambassador of the Year 2025 and Empowered Woman of the Year 2025. Women of Heart and Story of Global Impact have also recognized her story and impact. For Smith, however, recognition is not the destination; the greater measure of impact is whether someone begins to see their own story differently.

A U.S. Air Force veteran whose work reaches across cultures, languages, and generations, Smith carries a mission she describes as reaching from 8 to 88. Her message is simple: lived experience does not have to remain only something that happened to us. It can become wisdom we use, purpose we live, and legacy we pass forward.

“The extraordinary part of resilience is not simply surviving. It is deciding what survival is going to teach you and what you are going to do with that wisdom next.” – Martie M. Smith

Reclaim the keys. Transform the story. Build the legacy.

Read the books and continue the conversation

The invitation is simple: do not merely admire someone else’s resilience. Discover what your own has been teaching you. Then ask yourself: Who has your keys, and which one are you ready to reclaim?
