Bita Safari is passionate about the cleaning industry. The Founder and CEO of the new app GIGO Clean first forayed into the business by creating Simply Crystal Clean because she saw the difference cleaning could make in people’s lives.
“Science has proven having a clean environment has a direct impact on people’s mental health," says Safari.
After her first business boomed, Safari decided to make cleaning more accessible to all by creating a groundbreaking app that directly connects consumers with cleaners by zip code, cutting out the middleman.
“It’s going to be a revolution in the cleaning industry. Currently, when somebody is looking for house cleaning, there are few options. They go on Google and see a list of companies by their address. Then they must call to schedule an appointment and compare prices. This is app is very simple,” says Safari.
GIGO Clean allows consumers to schedule cleaning around their schedules with highly trained cleaning crews who are available in their area. It’s free to download with no membership or commitment. The idea hit home for Safari when she wanted to clean her own home.
“I got the idea for GIGO Clean when I was having trouble finding cleaning services for my own house. To learn how to manage the operation, I felt I needed to learn about the industry and I’m so glad I did because I learned about the problems in it, the cleaning methods, and the lack of supervision,” says Safari.
Safari says, the system not only empowers consumers, but also cleaners who want to work on their own schedules.
“They can work during the time that they want to rather than by working with a cleaning company’s schedule that’s given to them. So, they can go to school and spend time with their families. They also will have more hourly income compared to when they work for someone else,” says Safari.
Safari, now a successful entrepreneur comes from truly humble beginnings. She and her family emigrated from war-torn Iran during the revolution and is now living the American dream.
“I look at the GIGO Clean app as an achievement for myself as something that I started from something very basic and now it’s available for everyone to download,” says Safari.
The future for GIGO Clean seems bright. The app is currently operational in Los Angeles and Orange Counties but will soon be launching in San Diego and San Francisco. Within the next five years, Safari says she expects GIGO Clean to be available nationwide.
