I don’t think I would have ever been fulfilled and feel as content as I am today if personal development didn’t work alongside my health and fitness journey.

I don’t think I would have achieved the level of growth I have over the past 4-5 years if personal development hadn’t been a big part of life and still is today.

In fact, I attribute to my accomplishment of competing and win in both seasons of Body Building to my personal development journey.

I also think it would be a whole less interesting in how I have shared my journey and I certainly wouldn’t have been able to help the clients the way I do to transform their own lives.

I also would have been bored, uninspired, and mundane as a Coach and person. And to be honest, my success, fulfilment, would only derive from one single factor the physical transformation of a client. This isn’t to say that if a Coach has this business model, it isn’t good; it is incredible if that is their core business model, and they deliver relentlessly on that.

For me personally, that alone does not spark joy, and that isn’t what my business, the business I run with my husband, Mind You Performance is about.

What my business is about is the “infinite journey of improvement”, the ever-moving target. Once the goal is reached, what happens next? This is often where we only view the physical transformation as having a start, during and ‘end’. The real question is, what’s next? What happens now?

The journey, I believe is “an infinite journey of improvement”. There is no end to becoming the best version of yourself, an ever-moving target. And, of course health and fitness requires maintenance just as a car requires service and maintenance in order to run efficiently and effectively.

How my journey became a journey where health and fitness became the gateway to the devoted work to my personal development

I thought that if I achieved a certain body shape, physique, weight number, and size, I would feel ‘happy,’ ‘confident,’ and feel better about myself and my life. Does this sound familiar to you? This isn’t an uncommon thought process. ‘If I look better, I will feel better’ - yes and no.

From my own experiences and experience coaching many men and women, there is more to this statement.

I thought if I could get to the physical transformation, I would get to a desired feeling, however, it’s often the changes that happen when we are working towards the physical transformations that reveals our self-limiting beliefs, things to overcome, and our mental resilience, uncovering our potential as we break through mental constructs and take actions aligned to our values to truly unlock our potential. The journey of physical transformation can be a catalyst for self-discovery and personal growth.

So, if you are on a journey towards physical transformation, remember that it is not just about the end result, but also about the journey and the growth that comes with it.

This is what our clients experience over the course of their journey with us;

  • Physical transformation is the gateway to personal development

  • The physical transformation is a part of a client’s personal development. They are developing themselves personally. The physical is one part of it.

When we embark on a journey to transform our physical selves, we are also embarking on a journey of personal growth and development. The changes we make to our bodies are often accompanied by changes in our mindset, our habits, and our overall outlook on life.

It's important to remember that physical transformation should not be the sole focus of our personal development journey. While it can be a great starting point, we must also work on developing other aspects of ourselves, such as our emotional intelligence, our relationships, and our spirituality.

By taking a holistic approach to personal development, we can ensure that our physical transformation is just one piece of the puzzle. We can also create a solid foundation for lasting change and growth, as we learn to incorporate healthy habits and practices into all areas of our lives.
