Meet Victoria May, The Soul-Led Career Coach. A certified Hypnotherapist, Coach, and Energy Healer, she helps ambitious, freedom-seeking women reconnect with their inner compass and create careers and lives aligned with their soul’s truth.

Her path has been anything but conventional, marked by bold cliff dives into the unknown, walking away from high-ranking corporate roles, and starting over again and again in unfamiliar places with nothing but intuition and inner knowing to guide her. Through this journey, she discovered that freedom isn’t just about leaving what doesn’t fit; it’s about having the courage to step into what does, even when the path ahead is unclear.

Her work blends deep inner transformation, intuitive insight, and grounded strategy, supporting women to redefine success from the inside out and step boldly into careers and lives that are a full-body yes.

Victoria May, Empowerment Coach for Women

Can you share your personal journey and what led you to become passionate about guiding women to pursue soul-led careers and lives?

For most of my life, I straddled two worlds. One was defined by ambition and achievement, chasing promotions, collecting titles, and striving to prove my worth. The other was the seeker in me, drawn to travel, spiritual teachings, and the search for deeper meaning.

I hit my first major crossroads at 26. I had built a life that looked successful, but inside I felt lost and disconnected. I left my job and spent a year travelling solo, hoping to find clarity. The answers didn’t come right away, and eventually, I returned to corporate life out of fear, only to find myself in the same cycles of burnout and overwhelm.

The true shift came during the pandemic. With distractions stripped away, I turned inward and began a deep, transformational healing journey, exploring RTT®, Coaching, breathwork, energy healing, Shamanic and psychic studies, astrology, the Gene Keys, and more. Through that work, I began to see how deeply I had abandoned myself in pursuit of a life that looked good on paper.

As I peeled back the conditioning, I reconnected with my heart and reclaimed my essence. I realised that fulfilment doesn’t come from external achievements, it comes from living in alignment with who you truly are. That inner work revealed my soul’s path: to guide other women through the same awakening.

Eventually, I left behind a well-paid Vice President role, packed up my life in Sydney, and committed fully to a soul-led path, one that has required deep courage, resilience, and trust. I’m now based in Bali and will soon be travelling through Vietnam, Spain, Portugal, and Italy, all while running my business. Now, I help other women do the same: break free from the lives they were told to want, and create ones that are led by their truth.

What’s your purpose, mission, and driving force behind The Soul-Led Career Coach?

I’m deeply inspired by the awakening that’s happening across the world, the shift where more people are saying no to the lives they were told to live, and yes to the path that truly aligns with them.

I believe we’re here to know ourselves deeply, to release the layers of fear and conditioning that keep us small, and step into the unique truth we each came here to embody.

My mission is to guide women back to themselves, to help them shed the masks, release the pressure, and remember who they are beneath all the noise. The women I work with sense something greater within them, but often don’t know how to access it. My role is to help them reconnect with their power, creativity, and purpose so they can live extraordinary lives that set their souls on fire.

This work isn’t just about individual freedom; it’s about contributing to a new way of living, one rooted in unity, sovereignty, and collective transformation.

You’ve built a business and lifestyle that many women quietly dream of. What did it take for you to create a life that finally felt like yours?

Honestly, it’s taken a lot of time, meltdowns, and energy to get here. None of this happened overnight. I first had the realisation that I wanted a soul-led career and life over 13 years ago. Fast forward to today, and it’s finally coming into full fruition.

The words be patient have followed me for years. My ego doesn’t love hearing them, but they’ve proven essential. You will need to make peace with this too, if you want to build something true.

By far, the biggest part of this journey has been the inner work, which is also the part most people don’t see. Entrepreneurship has been the greatest personal development path of all. It’s forced me to face fears I didn’t even know I had, build radical self-trust, and keep going when giving up would have been easier. Walking against everything you were taught to value takes a different kind of strength.

But by stepping into the fear, the discomfort, and breaking through your limitations, you open up to a joy and expansion beyond anything you imagined. And a peace within that no external achievement could offer.

While I’m proud of what I’ve created, what I’m most proud of is who I’ve become in the process. I chose truth over comfort, again and again. And that, to me, is real success.

What’s the biggest myth about finding your purpose that you want to dismantle?

That your purpose can be defined by your career alone.

When I started my journey, I was laser-focused on figuring out the right career. I thought that was the vehicle for the purpose. But over time, I realised that’s just one part of it.

Every aspect of your life contributes to your purpose. At the core, your only true purpose is to be you to uncover who you are, and if you feel called, to share that essence with the world.

We’re conditioned to believe that our worth lies in what we do, so when people begin searching for their purpose, it’s often from a place of needing to achieve something meaningful. But your energy, when it’s aligned, is already of service. There is nothing more powerful than someone living in true authenticity.

We want to put labels on purpose. We want to point to a job title and say, “This is it.” But purpose is always evolving. It’s not a destination. It’s who you are being right now.

Stop trying to get somewhere. Your greatest lesson may be learning how to just be. I’m still working on that too, because it goes against everything we’ve been taught.

Many women want to change careers but feel stuck. What do you believe is keeping them stuck?

In short? Fear of getting it wrong. Fear of judgment. Fear of losing what they’ve built. Fear of being seen. Fear of success.

Fear is nuanced and sneaky. And most of it is unconscious, operating in the background, disguised as logic, “just being realistic.”, convincing you that settling is ok, plus other sneaky disguises.

Fear is also what blocks clarity. Fear keeps us tuned into the external world—scanning for what’s safe, what’s acceptable, what we should do. But beneath that fear is usually a deep disconnection from our true selves.

We’ve been taught to look outward for answers, so we forget that the only clarity that truly matters comes from within.

Once you do the inner work to reconnect with your inner compass, the confusion begins to clear. Fear won’t disappear; you just learn to move with it instead of being ruled by it.

And for the women who want to create a soul-led career or lifestyle, what would your advice be?

First, stop chasing someone else’s version of success. If your achievements feel empty, if you’re burnt out, if you keep asking “what’s missing?” that’s your sign. Real success is when your outer life reflects your inner truth, when your work energises you, when your life expands you, when your values lead the way.

Second, trust your intuition. Logic can only take you as far as what you already know. Your inner compass is what will guide you into what you’ve never known, but what’s truly yours.

And finally, release the pressure to have it all figured out. A soul-led path doesn’t deliver clarity all at once. It reveals itself step by step. You don’t get to see what’s waiting until you leap. So leap.

What makes the way you work different from other career or life coaches out there?

I bridge two worlds that are rarely brought together: the soul-led and the strategic.

When I was navigating my path, I couldn’t find anyone who held both. Most coaches focused on one or the other. So I built the space I needed.

Traditional career coaches often take an outside-in approach: scan the job market, match your skills, pick a role. But that model doesn’t work if you want true fulfilment. It skips the most important part—your soul’s guidance.

I do the opposite. I take an inside-out approach. Together, we uncover:

  • Who you truly are

  • What lights you on fire

  • Your gifts and highest potential

  • The unconscious blocks holding you back

  • The creative visions waiting to be birthed through you

And then, we bring that vision to life.

What are the future goals or visions for your business?

To build a global community of bold, freedom-seeking, purpose-driven women who are ready to break the mold, step into their truth, and create a life that’s fully theirs, not just in career, but in every part of life.

I’m working to create sacred spaces across the globe, both virtually and with in-person travel retreats and workshops, where women feel seen, supported, and empowered to rise. Inside this community, we will:

  • Redefine success by blending ambition with soul

  • Awaken creative genius and take aligned action

  • Create meaningful change through the impact we make

  • Support each other’s growth with mentorship and connection

This won’t just be a membership. It will be a movement. For women ready to rise, lead, and live a life that reflects who they truly are.

For women inspired by this, what’s the first step you recommend?

Start by pausing. Breathe. Stop trying to figure it all out. Ask yourself: What’s the thing that most excites or inspires me right now? Go do that. Then ask again. And again. This is how we begin to open the channels to clarity.

Direction doesn’t come from overthinking. It comes from feeling.
