It’s no secret that the last two years have been unlike anything anyone has ever known. And, without an intentional plan to stay healthy and out the chaos, you may feel stuck and burned out. In fact, 77% are reporting burned out. It’s a big red flag to look at how you/me/we are leading our life.

Leadership starts with leading SELF. You do not need a title to lead yourself. Everyone is a leader. You are the leader of your life.

We lead in all areas of our life. We lead our family, our communities and we lead on our team at work. Most importantly, we lead our self. Sometimes we lead great, and other times, not so great. The way in which we lead ourselves is directly related to the reality we create.

So, the question is...how does one consistently lead from a place of excellence, in order to create a best life? Even better, how do you even start?

During this time of the year, I have an intentional process I walk my clients through to reflect on the past year and plan for the next year. The process involves disconnecting, going into deep self reflection and includes thought provoking questions to help process and journal through it all.

Here’s a sneak peak:

Intentionally block time on your calendar, so that you can create space to sit, focus and strategize.

Here are a four key questions to journal on:

  1. What went well this past year?

  2. What did not go so well this past year?

  3. What was in the gap?

  4. What support do I need?

Sitting in this thought process allows time to reflect on the year. There is a calm peace that comes from honoring yourself through your "mistakes" (failure is growth!). And, you have worked super hard, so you also get to celebrate EVERY accomplishment (because YOU are AMAZING!).

Think about what you are committed to create this year.

Here are 4 questions to help kick start your planning:

  1. What is your vision? (who do you want to be, what do you want to accomplish, etc)

  2. What goals will you set to create that vision?

  3. What actions will you take in order to hit your goals and make your vision a reality?

  4. How will you hold yourself accountable to make it happen?

This is your action plan. Make sure you have a clear vision of what success looks like. With discipline in place and laser focus, you can create the future you really want!

You/Me/We make it hard by resisting (excuses, noise, overwhelm). Life has a way of distracting us, but only if we let it. With a solid plan in place and a positive, growth mindset to keep it moving forward, the possibilities are endless!

Be the creator of your life and make your vision your reality!

What will you create this year? Drop a note, I’d love to hear your vision!
