The concept of the great resignation continues to influence hearts across the globe. Talented professionals, once employees now yearn for something all their own. A career in aromatherapy may be the right fit for many of these business seekers.

Professional aromatherapy is an alternative health management therapy. It is extremely helpful in addressing a variety of symptoms. Aromatherapy gained popularity for its relief of pain, nausea, cold/flu symptoms, anxiety, and depression.

As alternative health care grows in popularity at massive rates it is an ideal career option. Aromatherapy particularly is a fast-growing career option. Of note is that IFPA reports nearly 7000 Professional Aromatherapists around the world. Compared to over 120,000 health coaches in the United States alone. This makes Aromatherapy as a profession quite attractive as a career option. Unlike health coaching, it is not yet a saturated market.

Aromatherapy, historically dominated by men is quickly becoming predominantly female. Interestingly, less than 8% of these professionals are people of color. The Aromaspecialists, a holistic mentoring company aims to change this.

Why Aromatherapy Is A Great Career Option

Americans spend more than $30.2 billion annually on aromatherapy. It is predicted the global market will grow in spending to $5 trillion by 2050. A large number of these consumers are self-medicating with essential oils. This creates a prime opportunity for professionals to be educated in this field. This education will provide much needed support for essential oil users.

Aromatherapy as an integrative practice was once overlooked. Today hospitals and other care facilities embrace it. Oncology groups, and geriatric units. Overseeing aromatherapy programs within hospitals and other medical facilities will continue to grow.

How to become a Certified Aromatherapist

Aromatherapy schools offer a variety of certification programs. Holistic Champions International School of Aromatherapy was established in 2020 by founder, Renèe Hughes. Renèe is the first black female to open a school of this kind. She combines professional aromatherapy certification with organic business building. Renèe aims to recruit 100 Aromatherapists. And, become a major player in expanding this profession around the world.

Individuals who want to investigate this field can visit Holistic Champions and begin a journey of discovery into this incredible profession.
