Exclusive Interview With The President Of Smarterverse Gianfranco Lopane

Gianfranco Lopane is the President of Smarterverse, Inc., and serves as Head of Business Development in charge of the team responsible for revenue growth enablement within DatChat’s Social Network+, Metaverse, NFT, and blockchain initiatives. In his 20 years of experience, he has worked with startups as well as Fortune-500 companies like Nestle, Hertz, and XPO Logistics in different senior-level positions.
What kind of audience do you target your business towards?
I will answer that question with another question: “which is the target of the internet?”. Women, men, kids, business owners, actors, teachers, dancers, everybody is a target for the Metaverse.
What are your current goals for your business?
My main goal is to define the Metaverse in a way that the average person can easily comprehend. I’m working hard to make people understand all the benefits and solutions it can bring to their daily lives, making it easier, faster, and better.

Could you tell us about your greatest career achievement so far?
My greatest career achievement is, without a doubt, being an early mover in the blockchain space, which led me to become the president of a company that will change how people live their lives. If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?
I want people who work in the industry to understand that we need to create a bridge between the average person and the web3. We need to bring them to the space without them knowing they are there. Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.
In 2017, I had the idea that I wanted to run ads in the Metaverse, but it wasn’t until early 2022 that it became a reality. While running the ads, I realized there was nobody in there. The Metaverse was reserved for wealthy people willing to pay thousands of dollars for virtual land. It was not user-friendly for the average person and looked so cartoony, so I pivoted to co-found Smarterverse to make the Metaverse simple, fun, and accessible for all.
