Life builds strong connections in ways you can't predict. Sometimes, people you didn't know could help you, or would help you, end up on your team. Those relationships often circle back when you least expect it but need it most. That's what happened with Bryan Majors and Trevor Booker joining iUNGO World's team. These are two relationships from different chapters of my life, now merging with my biggest vision.

Bryan and I came up in the same area. Harrisburg and Lancaster, Pennsylvania, respectively, about 40 minutes apart. He trained me during the back end of my overseas basketball career, which was also a time when I was trying to figure out what I was going to do next. Bryan trained me for five seasons. At the same time, he was building his own empire: a clothing company (Major Prep Apparel), schools under his brand, and motivational speaking. He's created training programs connecting sports with academics, transforming himself into a self-sustaining entrepreneur.

What struck me about Bryan wasn't his business understanding. For one, he's one of the smartest people I know. And I guarantee you that anyone who knows Bryan understands he defines what people call a "go-getter." No, for me, it was his support as a real brother. During an impromptu pitch where I ran through the whole iUNGO World vision like I would for any potential investor, he stopped me mid-sentence and said, "I'm hearing you, but you don't have to sell me. I support whatever your vision is."

That moment meant everything. In a world where most people need convincing, Bryan offered something more pure, belief in what I was trying to accomplish. His enterprise model fits perfectly with what iUNGO World represents. Community building through sports, creating local visibility with global connections. Now, as a team member, he'll help define our direction.

Trevor Booker came through family connections. His first cousin introduced us. Watching his NBA career while I played in Europe created a natural bond, but what he did after retirement truly impressed me. Trevor broke barriers, expanding into business ventures while I was still figuring things out. Now, he's an NBA agent operating in the NIL space, has invested in a high school for years, and built an impressive business portfolio.

Trevor personifies the former professional athlete who has figured out how to leverage his old career into entrepreneurship. He got right what so many of us got wrong when we left basketball. What matters here for me is that he didn't jump on board immediately. I kept him informed for years about iUNGO World's progress, but I didn't press the issue. I mean, you have to think about how many people are coming at someone like Trevor with foolish, pie-in-the-sky ideas that are going to double or triple his money, trying to reach into his pockets. I didn't want that sort of relationship. He watched, evaluated, and only joined when he saw five years of consistent work and follow-through. That deliberate approach added credibility to both sides.

"Trevor is a guy who's going to help iUNGO World stabilize something global, something successful," I told my team recently. "You need people willing to help others take that next step in the business space."

These additions matter because iUNGO World isn't just an app. It's a movement built around democratizing sports media. Growing requires the right people at the right time. Both Trevor and Bryan represent athlete entrepreneurs at different levels who share the same drive. It took years to reach this inflection point where established business leaders saw enough potential to commit their names, resources, and networks to what I'm doing, and I'm grateful.

This partnership symbolizes what happens when people spot opportunities in others trying to break through. The team that helped me get this far deserves recognition, too. Everyone brings value differently, but value remains value. Their addition elevates iUNGO World to a completely different level in visibility. It's the exact collaboration needed to transform our vision into a global reality. Now that I have their buy-in, I have to continue doing the work that earned their trust.

As former athletes turned entrepreneurs from different paths, we share the same persistence and attitude, guys who don't give up, who just want to work. These valued additions didn't happen overnight, and that's for the best. They represent years of relationship building, proving myself, and creating something worth backing. That's the real difference that allows companies to grow: finding people who see opportunity, who recognize solid work, and who are willing to break through these walls together.

I would be remiss if I didn't tell you about our upcoming event, for which we've fully locked in the concept. It will be called HOOP RAVE, a national 3x3 basketball tournament, happening April 10 to 12 in Accra, Ghana. This high school event will feature 25 girls' and 27 boys' teams, organized by iUNGO World, Ghana Basketball Federation, and FIBA. It's more than just hoops, with music, fashion, and a whole festival atmosphere. HOOP RAVE has been a labor of love and will serve as a strong proof of concept for expanding into an event with broader international appeal and participation. Most importantly, it will be our first significant streaming event, which will be consequential to our platform's development. I'll be there personally to manage the event and plan to return with a detailed report on successes, failures, and lessons learned.
