Elite Military Leadership Meets High-Stakes Fiction in 'Led by Love of Country – Hard Reset'
OCOEE, FL – May 11, 2026 – Charles V. Sasser Jr., a retired Command Sergeant Major of the 1st Infantry Division and renowned executive leadership strategist, has officially launched his highly anticipated military thriller, Led by Love of Country – Hard Reset. The novel is available on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and Barnes and Noble
In a market saturated with standard business literature, Sasser takes a radically different approach to teaching high-stakes decision-making and tactical resilience. By weaving his three decades of elite military experience and NATO advisory roles into a gripping fictional narrative, Led by Love of Country – Hard Reset serves as both a high-octane thriller and a masterclass in operational discipline.
The novel follows protagonist Elias as he navigates a complex, asymmetric threat environment. Through Elias’s journey, readers are given a frontline view of the "Hard Reset," the critical moment when leaders must drop their emotional baggage, bypass the paralysis of ambiguity, and execute a tactical regrouping under extreme pressure.
"In the corporate world, we often talk about resilience in sterile, academic terms," Sasser notes. "But true resilience isn't theoretical, it is a tactical proficiency forged in the fires of consequence. Fiction allows us to explore the absolute limits of human endurance and strategic execution. Through Elias’s story, readers will see exactly what it takes to maintain continuous containment when the perimeter is breached, and the stakes are absolute."
Led by Love of Country – Hard Reset bridges the gap between the battlefield and the boardroom. It strips away corporate jargon to expose the raw mechanics of leadership, the compound interest of appeasement, and the necessity of objective, data-driven action. It is essential reading for executives, transitioning service members, and anyone looking to upgrade their internal operating system to handle the complexities of the modern world.
Sasser, who currently pioneers AI-driven aerospace training programs at Adacel Technical Services, actively draws upon his deep expertise in organizational resilience and asymmetric warfare to craft a narrative that is as authentic as it is educational.
Led by Love of Country – Hard Reset is available now on Kindle and Barnes and Noble.
