More than ever, cooperation and getting together to create new, different, and bigger are the keys for now!

As in many previous crises, we only survived by forming tribes to nurture each other and hold together against enemies — such tribes having nothing to do with family, by the way! It’s wonderful when family supports each other, especially in times of crisis. Yet, many find in friends and like-minded people a “second” family, which can sometimes feel like your real family!

Can you relate to this?

And yet, it seems that solidarity is a word at the moment that demonstrates the habits of fear, hate, and greed. What has to happen, so we finally remember that nurturing and helping each other ARE the keys to getting through this crisis (and all other crises)?

Let’s talk about “co-” and the meaning behind these two letters.

Would we be born without our mum and dad? Would we grow without food given to us by others? Without loving and caring moments? Without others showing us how to walk, talk, and behave in today’s environment (when improvement is needed in many areas? And so on…

We would be alive, truly ALIVE in interchanging everything without anybody having us around!

Many experimental studies with orphans demonstrate that the human being degenerates without any interaction with other human beings.

In times of crisis, as we are experiencing at the moment, the separation through restrictions that have arisen due to COVID-19 seems to have also brought on symptoms of degeneration.

How devastating is that for us as humankind?

Nurturing, caring, and taking care of each other are basic needs for human beings.

Did you ever notice that the word “commune” is in ”communication?” And there is also a famous quote about raising children,

“It takes a whole village to raise a child!” African quote.

But what about those grown-ups who are raising children? Did they have enough nurturing themselves as children to nurture today’s young people?

When I work with my clients, one method I love to use is my inner child healing method, where we work with inner elements cooperating and collaborating.

As the smallest unit, which is actually ourselves in ourselves, I love to share the concept of “autopoiesis” from Chilean biologists Maturana and Varela — the concept of family therapy.

According to Virginia Satir, and the NLP technique of “parts integration” where we recognize that we are not just “one” person, but different parts (consciously and subconsciously) depending on situations, people and, experiences we are having in the present. Yet, we are ONE person (from the perspective of our bodies).

"ME becomes WE becomes ME in the WE if we turn the “M” upside down!"

We blossom in a nurturing environment and shrink in an unloving, hurting environment—even as grown-ups. Yet, many have to live in environments that are not nurturing!

Many talks about the “ego” — the part which seems, if you listen to the people who talk about it, is an envious, nasty part, yet it is a part of ME in my ME-WE-identity!

But what would we truly need for blossoming AND being aligned with our ME-WE-parts to nurture each other collaboratively?

True nurturing begins with ourselves, and even when we love nurturing others, most people forget themselves.

I love the picture that others remind me of when I forget;

In an aeroplane you HAVE TO give the oxygen mask to yourself FIRST, and then to others, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to support others due to less oxygen! So, FIRST YOU, then others!

And yet, if you observe how some people treat themselves and how we treat mother earth, we might feel that there is something wrong here!

What can we choose AND change today for a better tomorrow for ourselves AND mother earth?

As in times of crisis, new opportunities arise!

I would love to invite you to see crisis differently, not primarily as a chance for something new, but in a different frame. What if we were to cooperate, collaborate, and communicate? We could create something completely new if we knew everything!

For many, many years, I wondered what we could create if we knew everything. How would we live together? How would we learn? How would we build up a society?

It’s like a SIM game but with real people in a real environment. Would we live and work with those whom we live and work with today, especially at the moment?

If your answer is “NO,” please change it today! If your answer is “YES,” congratulations by heart!

My take on this is simple. I love having people around where we nurture each other at eye level, support us growing together, lift each other with our gifts, and unleash for the greater cause for us and mother earth!

Sounds simple? Isn’t it? And, yet, we are not yet there today.

Beyond tomorrow begins today – NOW!

Is it possible for us to jump out of the frames we have been conditioned in since childhood from the environment we grew up in?

Maybe yes, maybe no! Yet, in our mind and imagination, we can!

How would it be if we knew what tomorrow looked like? How would it be, and what could be the first step towards having our dreams and fantasies become a reality!

“I have a dream…”

We all know those famous words by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., which brought hope and positive future enthusiasm. I love those words today just as well, for seeing beyond what we perceive in everyday media.

“I have a dream…”

…of a peaceful planet where people nurture each other for the greater cause of harmony.

Mother Earth nurtures us with plenty of food and fresh water. The earth IS a green planet again where we live in harmony with nature and animals, where we access 100% of our wisdom which comes from deep inside|out, where loving, caring for, and supporting each other dreams come true, where a whole village CAN nurture children, where cooperation, collaboration, and commun(e)ication are daily essence for growth and so on.

Let’s dream together today – now!
