When Hope Is Not Enough

A post on Facebook caught my attention; a woman said, "I will never hope again." I imagine she had hoped for something or in someone that had not met her expectations. Maybe she prayed and had faith and believed as much as she could that life would go in a certain way. Reality told a different Story, and she was deeply disheartened. Her hope did not stretch to understand the reality she was facing.

Hope Is

Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. It has been said hope lies before us. Hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our Soul. We have an infinite number of choices each day. The only reality is what is happening at the present moment.

Since hope lies before us like a Path, we can trust that any next step is the best one we can take. If you think about an anchor keeping a boat in place, the only still and certain place is at the point at which the anchor is secured to the bottom of the body of water. The boat at the surface and can move within 360 degrees of motion and might be tossed by the wind and the waves but is still secure.

Hope Is Not

When we have a strong desire for a certain thing to happen and place our hope in circumstances beyond our control, we can find ourselves in a place of pain and suffering. We blame ourselves or others or God, and no solution is in sight.

The Microscope and the Telescope

Our lives happen somewhere between the microscope and the telescope. We exist in Infinite cellular matter and Infinite expansive space. Love is our Source and Purpose and Order. We do not have control of either realm, the minute or the infinite.

We do have the privilege of Life and all our Experiences. We do have the option to receive and give Love. We can continue to evolve and transform into beings of Higher Consciousness for the wellbeing of the human family, our animal friends, and the planet.

Love is within us and beyond us. Love surrounds us, and the knowledge can be enough to give us hope in the present moment.

Control Is A Struggle For Me

Self-control is the most challenging aspect of my life. Often, I do what I don't want to do, and I don't do what I want to do. Since I cannot control myself, how can I expect to control the outcome of my life? How can I expect certain things to happen or to not happen if events are outside of my control?

Love Is In The Present Moment

If I can only count on the present moment's reality, perhaps this is where Love best meets me each day. I no longer tell God what to do. I am happy Love is with me. I feel understood and Love is working with me to save me from myself. I know Love is united perfectly with my Soul, and I have everything I need for my life and happiness.

The Present Moment is my anchor. My life may turn out in an infinite number of ways, and I am okay with that because I am okay now, today.

Beyond Hope

Sometimes we let our hope get ahead of us. We hope beyond the Present Moment. We expect Life to do our bidding, and then we become greatly disappointed. Hope in Love. The purpose of our lives is to receive and give Love. Experiencing Love is the point and purpose of our Essence and our Existence.

One way our hope is renewed is to learn the deeper meaning of our life experiences. We discover transformational Truths that anchor the events of our lives to who we are today. Going deep where Truth is secure like an anchor is the place where we find Hope.
