Rev. Betty King, Christian Leader, Pastor, and Visionary
Who is Rev. Betty King? Introduce yourself, your hobbies, and your favourites, both at home and in business. Tell us something interesting about yourself.
First and foremost, I am a woman with a deep and fulfilling relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything that I have been able to accomplish has come from this place. It is the cornerstone of my story and my journey, which led me from nothing to everything I have today.
My faith in Him has carried me through trials and tribulations that could have stopped many, instead, those very seasons shaped me into an unstoppable leader and pioneer. Like anyone, I have had to overcome many personal challenges within myself and in my circumstances. However, I can truly say that God has led me through them, and this is more than just a faith statement - it is a fact.
In 1998, I launched Betty King International Ministries. It was an act of obedience and personal sacrifice. What began as small prayer gatherings in my home grew into weekly meetings, a church, and, over the years, expanded into global projects. It was not just an overnight process, but it was years of wisdom and learning. We have seen stadium gatherings and conferences across nations, including the UK, Brazil, Ghana, the USA, and Germany, mobilising millions to pursue a sincere and authentic lifestyle in Christ.
My spiritual foundation as a born-again Christian underpins everything I do. Beyond church ministry, I have pioneered multinational businesses, particularly in real estate development. White Horse Estates, which I launched in my country of birth, Ghana, delivered the first private estate development in Cape Coast.
I have always sought to embody the practical principles and the outworking of Christianity that bring real transformation and sustained impact. I have had the privilege to do this through real estate development, especially one of my most cherished projects, which has been the establishment of a football academy called the House of David in Ghana, which was started to give hope and a future to young men who have gone through sexual abuse, trauma, and abandonment. We are currently building a complete estate for the academy, including housing for academy attendees, a football stadium and training grounds, a police station & key infrastructure and services within the local area. These kinds of issues matter to me, and, more importantly, the answers to them matter even more.
My organisation and I have also had the privilege of creating outreach programmes and educational initiatives in Ghanaian schools, prison ministry initiatives focused on restoration and rehabilitation, and local outreach efforts that support churches and communities.
This ministry was established to serve believers globally through prayer meetings, conferences, and outreach programmes, with a heart to see lives and communities transformed through the life of Jesus Christ and biblical teaching.
I sit on several advisory boards across business, religion, and government, and I continue to minister internationally while serving as Senior Pastor of Truthvine Church. I am also a business and real estate mentor and a spiritual advisor to leaders across various sectors, and I continue to fulfil all my roles actively to this day.
I am the founder of the fashion brand Label 53. My love for creativity has led to my designs being featured in luxury fashion houses worldwide and under my own label. In media, I have produced and hosted programmes reaching millions on major Christian networks. I currently host the weekly show The Cry on GodTV. As a bestselling author, I have written books that encourage and equip readers through biblical insight and personal reflections from my journey with Christ.
Above all my accomplishments, my greatest blessing is my family, and I cherish my role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

What inspired you to start BKIM, and what problem did you feel called to solve?
I established Betty King International Ministries in response to the need for global transformation. I think we can all agree that the world needs healing, real transformation, and light.
Historically, in times of great change and restoration, God has raised up incredible men and women who stood in the gap for others and became repairers of the breach. I believe so firmly that this happens today that, from my original prayer meetings in 1988, I have established the Bethshan Foundation and Truthvine Church.
The personal victories I experienced in my walk with Jesus Christ have fuelled much of the work I do today. The faith I have seen bear fruit in my own life is the same faith I use to help others, both personally and corporately, and it is more than just a religious opinion, it is about truth and a conviction in it.
I believe God calls individuals to Himself with a great plan for their lives, desiring to see them free to become all He has called them to be and to do wonderful things in His kingdom. When I minister, my focus is to help people understand and take a position in those callings that God has over their lives. Therefore, creating opportunities for real healing in people’s lives, restoration, wisdom, and clarity is central to the mission.
The various ministries have become a vehicle to reach many people in many different ways. From stadium gatherings to television programmes, magazines, and conferences, it’s been a privilege to see a hungry community of faith-filled people globally. My heart is to ensure that people around the world can be reached and ministered to in diverse ways, all with the singular purpose of helping individuals encounter the Lord, which enables Christians to live out their calling. Christianity has never been a matter of just talk, but of a life lived out.
Unity is a key value for me, as described in the Bible, which teaches that true unity commands a blessing. I prioritize working with the right people and building connections with those who support and collaborate. While competition is common, I believe in the collective power of building together. Hosting my TV show on GODTV, one of the largest Christian networks, lets me engage leaders from various spheres and highlight their work in advancing the Kingdom. I am passionate about uniting voices in the kingdom and amplifying efforts that make a real difference today. These ministries and testimonies bless both my guests and audiences worldwide. I consider it a privilege to connect, help, and partner with others.
I founded Truthvine Church as a Pentecostal gathering with the purpose of building a dynamic, multicultural, and transgenerational community where both seasoned Christians and new believers can flourish. We need leaders & mothers and fathers to movements, assignments and vocations, and I truly believe that the right men and women are being raised up in this hour. The church is called to be a place of transformation.
Also, Bethshan Foundation is the charitable arm of the ministry. It has been a joy to know that help is also needed at our doorstep. I’ve had the joy and privilege of providing food supplies, medical testing, educational support, and financial assistance. We meet practical needs with compassion for those around us. This heart for service led to the Food Distribution initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic. We still deliver food to hundreds each week and have reached thousands across London.
Who do you most love helping, and what are they typically struggling with before they find you?
The Bible calls us to care for the vulnerable, and I have a strong desire to see lives won for Jesus Christ. I am deeply committed to those whom God has called the body of Christ to care for, widows, orphans, and the poor. I am also particularly passionate about equipping the next generation to step into their God-given purpose. Our children are our legacy, and they matter. Their identity matters, their purpose, their identities, their callings matter.
Through my ministry, I am dedicated to helping vulnerable and often overlooked individuals. These include prisoners and ex-offenders, single mothers and widows, at-risk youth, families living in poverty, and those battling addiction or trauma. Many who come to us feel hopeless, financially unstable, isolated, or spiritually disconnected. They struggle with shame, rejection, lack of opportunity, low self-worth, and unmet needs such as food, healthcare, or education. These are lives God has called and made in his image. Everyone deserves a chance for redemption, restoration, and forgiveness. Jesus Christ modeled this for the world, so I believe helping such individuals is an important part of ministry.
I also truly love helping those who are willing to grow and hungry for change. These are, in particular, the people who will flourish and bring fruitfulness to their own lives and to all those around them. I believe there are many unsung individuals who will do greater exploits. I believe that everyone will, at some point, be challenged, tested, and tried. Everyone has a moment in their life when they have to face what they struggle with, but I am truly blessed by those who are willing to trust, lay themselves down, and be humble, teachable, diligent, and hardworking, because it is these individuals who God can use to change the world. This is exactly what so many people testify to in the bible, who all had to overcome to do greater things than they expected with their God.
The Cry as a ministry centres on two priorities, empowering the younger generation and renewing the wider Church. Sessions for young people address pressing challenges like mental health struggles, addiction, sexual brokenness, and identity confusion, offering hope, healing, and restoration. At the same time, The Cry seeks to strengthen believers who may feel weary or discouraged, calling the Church to rise with renewed faith and purpose. This goes beyond the faith within the four walls of the church, the Bible says that faith without works is dead. These stadium events are unique because they give thousands the opportunity to align their hearts, both personally and corporately, with God’s will, their purpose, and their position in their spheres of influence.

How would you describe what you do in one clear sentence to someone new?
I have to give you two instead.
“I am about my Father’s business.” – Luke 2:49 NKJV
‘If Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.’” – Exodus 33:15 NKJV
What makes your approach or strategy different from others in your industry?
I believe the key strategy is discretion and partnering with the right people. Authenticity is the only thing that truly lasts and leaves a lasting legacy. It doesn’t matter what the medium is, whether it’s media, drama, animation, interviews, podcasts, from a pulpit, or on large-stage conferences and stadium gatherings. What matters most is carrying the authentic message of Christ and His heart for this world, and so partnering with the right people who can agree with the vision, understand the mandate, and understand how to be wise and discreet is key. I truly value those who have discretion and work hard. Having a great team around you is truly a treasure and a gift, and above all, it is work. It has worked on and built on the right relationships and stewarding the right opportunities.
My key focus is on doing what matters for the kingdom. It is helping others, it’s not just about me. It’s about what we, as Christians, call the Kingdom of God. This is why I created the stadium events entitled The Cry. These corporate gatherings were made possible because we all came together in agreement in faith and in prayer before God, and we saw God let it flow down to unite believers from across the Body of Christ for a powerful day of worship, prayer, and spiritual reawakening in nations around the world.
What is most significant to me is the biblical foundation. For example, the date of our first conference aligned with the story of Queen Esther, expressing faith that many would step into their God-given identity and authority, leading to a great harvest of souls. Timing is critical for these events, as I prayerfully consider both the needs of a particular nation and what I sense God's heart is at that moment.
The Cry is deeply rooted in Scripture, most notably Song of Solomon 4:1–4 and Psalm 24. I see it as a spiritual ascent, an invitation for the Church to rise above limitation and intimidation, take its rightful place in society, and move into a new level of impact and influence. Through these gatherings, I invite believers everywhere to participate in what I believe is a defining moment for the Church.
How do you help the people that you have been helping gain clarity, confidence, and ultimately change through your work?
I truly value my role as a leader in the global Church. As seen through biblical examples, I understand my role as a Prophet is to share the heart of God for people and places. This calling requires me to confront hindrances through warning, direction, correction, rebuke, and edification. We all need help, and we all have destiny helpers. It is important to truly help those around you with the right words of correction and encouragement.
This is coupled with my role as an Apostle, which takes a more visionary approach. In this aspect of my ministry, I communicate God’s vision, often pioneering mandates and equipping those who will participate in them. This calling allows me to operate not only within the Church but also to take on advisory roles through mentorship and training. I believe that because of those who have helped me in my journey, I know the value of honouring my destiny helpers. The helpers who truly will propel you along the path that you need to take are ordained by God.
Ultimately, the greatest clarity I seek to provide through my ministry is to communicate what our loving Father desires to say to His people, both personally and corporately, so that they can partner with Him in all that they do.
Can you share a moment when you knew your work was truly making an impact?
One of the most powerful and recent expressions of impact for me was this year’s expression of The Cry, Ghana. This year, we felt inspired to shift the strategy from a single corporate gathering to several events spread over multiple days.
This divine movement gathered thousands of young people who came together with the desire to seek the Lord wholeheartedly in prayer. In these gatherings, a deep and tangible atmosphere of worship was fostered, intentionally creating space for the Holy Spirit's presence.
As voices rose in intercession and surrender, hearts were softened, chains were broken, and many experienced healing, deliverance, and spiritual renewal. Lives were not only touched in the moment but redirected with fresh purpose and identity.
Someone being refreshed to purpose and restored to identity should never be underestimated. It is truly a momentous moment because when someone knows who they are and knows who their God is, they become unstoppable. And what they go on to achieve is life-changing for all those impacted and affected.
For someone reading this and feeling called to work with you, what is the best next step?
If you are interested in the work we are doing with the football academy, in Ghana and beyond, I first want to say that I deeply value community and relationships. You can reach the ministry by emailing me here.
